St. Mary’s Hitching



               This variation on the French hitching theme was
               found by Brion Toss. He named it after a fine

               little church in Anacortes, Washington. The
               hitches in the three strands are always

               made in the same direction. Care
               should be taken to ensure that
               they lay neatly in place to

               give the spiraling rope
               effect.
