The study used an open-ended questionnaire of manageable size of the interviewees coupled with the
need to provide them with greater latitude to express their full thoughts. The sampling frame was a
size that could be conveniently handled through unstructured questions. The questionnaires were
administered to 100 randomly selected African born students and some professionals resident in the
Washington metropolitan area who have either studied or worked in a college or university in any of
the African countries, and are very familiar with the existing curricula prior to matriculating into the
United States school system.

PRESENTATION OF RESULTS
Looking at the sample size, which represents twenty-two African counties as identified in the
literature review, a much thorough overview of the various ICT policies of integration was obtained.
This study in an attempt to identify the role that ICT will play in changing the academic landscape in
Africa if adequately diffused in the entire continent seem to be glaring. It is also pertinent to say that
the model of ICT and its significant impact in the industrialized nations would become a point to
emulate from as this paper contributes to the growing body of knowledge in African changing
democracies. The questionnaire administered on the respondents had the objective of providing
answer to the research questions.
