Abstract
Chapters (begin Arabic numerals)
References
Appendixes (if appropriate)
After the pages are arranged in the correct order, they should be numbered consecutively, beginning
with the title page and continuing through the appendices. Preliminary pages carry lowercase roman
numerals. Some of the preliminary pages are counted but not numbered (see above). Arabic
numerals begin with the first page of the first chapter. Each new chapter, the reference list, and each
appendix starts on a new page.
Placement of page numbers:
Numbers are placed bottom center of a page. Double-space to the line of text. Placement of numbers
should be consistent throughout the document. The APA "running head" is optional.
Paper Specifications:
All copies of final document must be submitted on 20 pound, nontransparent, white bond paper.
Paper brand and color must match within each manuscript, i.e., signature pages are on the same
paper as the text and appendices. Onion skin and erasable paper is not acceptable.
