F. Delivery of Instruction
There are varied teaching strategies under the BSN program ranging from the
common lecture and discussions, group and peer teaching during laboratory activities
to actual demonstrations during evaluation of practical skills. Before the pandemic, classrooms
are assigned routinely in a week for the classes to be conducted with pure lecture where
commonly, the teacher is the source of information, group discussions are also conducted during
these sessions depending on the course if it is in need. All classrooms are well-lighted and
ventilated for student and teacher comfort during classes. Classrooms are also equipped with
whiteboards and Flat screen Smart TVs to improve visual aids made by the faculty.
The college also has its own Nursing Arts Laboratory or Simulation rooms
equipped with demonstration dummies, instruments and equipment which conforms to the
requirement of the Commission on Higher Education guidelines. Subjects serviced by other
colleges utilizes their respective laboratories such as Microbiology and Parasitology laboratory,
speech laboratory and computer laboratory. Each of these facilities comply with safety guidelines
of the LGU and other laws governing public infrastructure.
Our base hospital is a DOH Training hospital with 350 bed capacity allowing us to have
our Related Learning Experience (RLE) in all areas. We also have our RLE in RHUs around the
municipality, Private Hospitals and Birthing Centers. These areas allow our students to experience
the best RLE possible to equip them to become the best possible nurse they can be.
