Diversity of Boundaries

Considering the suitability of expanding the green fingers of the mountain side
area, the positioning of the buffer zone is getting more important. The original
park green space or potential green resources are used at the boundaries of

different environmental zones to fill the inter-zone relationship. The used objects
may also play another roles and have reached a variety of "functional projects."

Systems and Networks

In addition to the green resource planning of the park green space system, the
network also represents the energy of social interaction after shaping by the space.
The project will give priority to existing road green belts or the ones planned for
this time, operational points of park green space and rural cities, and potential
green resources (such as partially greened or wider roads, schools or institutional
reserved sites, the idle public land, the old water channel etc.) to connect and
intertwine while the more intensive developed areas use historical and cultural
space, old trees and pocket space to form local green networks.

Green roads are connected with green fingers, ecological patches in built-
up area (as ecological islands), or a linkage to waterfronts.

Identify potential ecological islands (green spaces, open spaces, parks and
potential green spaces) in built-up area and serially connect them by green
roads.
Restoring the old water channels, consider first their routes to be
intertwined with the urban green space.

The historic sites and historical and cultural spaces in the old built-up area
can be serially linked with old trees and street trees as local networks.
