Referee There are nearly a thousand parks and green spaces that
have been developed in Taipei City, but I can imagine that
it is hardly able to find one that is qualified enough for a
hearty complimentary of " a park with feelings, of pretty and
of beautiful.” The main reason is that the public does not
have enough channels, platforms, pathways, or opportunities
to easing express their various fancy imaginations, thoughts,
opinions, feelings, suggestions about these urbanized public
areas and places. Most of the parks have ended up being
battlefields of local villages’ chiefs’ "political achievements".
The aesthetic sense for every day’s life of the citizens have
completely lost the opportunity of diverse expressions.
As a result, we can only see the political achievements of
the villages’ chiefs (or the local small group,) a mixture
construction of weird eccentric elements. The aesthetic
Chen, within has lost the possibility to have a dialogue with
citizens’ life. Therefore, a city's own park has lost its unique
Kai-Huang opportunity of defining itself! It should be Yitong Park
if I wanted to name a park that I’m familiar with. It is
Interdisciplinary Concept rather small and the reason is not because of its greatness
Ar tist / President of or divinity, but its extremely disobedience, (tens of various
                National Taipei University
qualities are stuffed with it)! For the sake of the nearby art
                of the Arts
space that has the same name (Yitong Park Gallery), I have
seen it in various ways, traversed it, surrounded it, and... no
Yitong Park less than a hundred times! At least it gave me a perceptually
incomprehensible Taipei City Park that would be arrogant,
which is a bit of something.
