Ecological Park
The Dongshan River Forest Park located in the Dongshan River
of Yilan is a park that combines friendly life, green tourism and
Dongshan River environmental education. Since 1997, the land preparation project
has started, and the project has been officially opened through
Forest Park numerous constructions in 2016. After 20 years of hard work, it
is expected that the Dongshan River Forest Park would become a
Yilan County demonstration area of Yilan Lohas tourism. Covering an area of
about 16 hectares, the Dongshan River Forest Park is also affiliated
in the scope of Dongshan River Scenic Spot in Yilan County, and
is managed by Yilan County Government Department of Business
and Tourism. Multiple landscapes and special environments were
planned in the zone, with micro-Yilan as an environmental feature,
and at the same time served as an important field for promoting
environmental education.

the Concept of Ecological Island Jumping
The Forest Park is the alluvial land of the mainstream and the
tributaries. In the early stage, it was flooded. The Dongshan River
must be flooded every time it encounters a wind disaster, and its
land was used as a scenic area and an agricultural area. In the part
of the agricultural land, it is coordinated with the Development
and Construction Plan of the Dongshan River Scenic Area to
requisition land to build a park.
"Development and Construction Plan of Dongshan River Scenic
Area" took the waterfront coastal park area as the main axis of
development, and planned greening facilities, coastal water-proof
forest areas, wild bird protection areas, public facilities areas, etc.
along the Dongshan River.
The forest park is cut into four pieces of land by the Dongshan
River and the railway. The bridge on the water can connect
the two sides of the Dongshan River, and the tunnels on the
mountain formed by the land construction can connect the parks
