RAY WILLIAMS
DEACONESS OPHELIA SAFFOLD
Deaconess Ophelia Saffold passed away on Wednesday, Octo- ber 6, 2021. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, 12:00 Noon at Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, 2606 Grace Street, Tampa, FL 33606, Pastor T. D. Leonard, Minister Terry Slayton, Officiating. MASKS ARE REQUIRED. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
Deaconess Saffold was born on Saturday, August 14, 1937 to Joseph and Ruby Warren in Brunswick, Georgia. She attended the Hillsborough County Public Schools and was converted at an early age at Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church under the Pastor- ship of Reverend W. J. Glover. She moved her fellowship in 1956 to be in union with her husband at Greater Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church under the Pastor- ship of Reverend J. B. Bryant. In 1972, she became a Deaconess where she served faithfully until her health began to fail.
On Saturday, November 21, 1953, she was joined in matrimony to the love of her life, Ulysses Grant Saffold, Sr. and the families were blended. A Godly woman who loved and supported her hus- band, children, grandchildren,
   and great-grandchildren when- ever needed.
Deaconess Saffold’s favorite scripture was Psalm 71 and her fa- vorite hymn was “Jesus I Love Calling Your Name” by Shirley Caesar.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Joseph and Ruby Warren; husband, Ulysses Grant Saffold, Sr.; two daughters, He- riena Saffold and Brenda Joyce Coney; three sons, Curtis Cham- bers, Ulysses Grant Saffold Jr. and Darrell Keaton; two grand- daughters, Alexis Johnson and Michelle Govantes; grandson, Kevin Allen; four brothers, Joseph Warren, Jimmy Warren, Columbus Warren and Henry Warren; five sisters, Inez Har- mon, Mary Ella Watson, Lula Mae Watson, Marie Lewis and Annie R. Tramel.
She leaves to cherish her sweet loving memories to: two daughters, Linda Freeman (Ray- mond) of Tampa and Elizabeth Saffold of Bowie, MD; two sons, Manzy Saffold (Debra) of Tampa and Delton Trent Saffold of Tampa; sister, Laurine Jacobs; grandchildren, Heriena Ashwood (Alonzo), Monsandto Perry, Ulysses Javon Saffold, Manzy Saf- fold Jr., Lamesha Park, Bamesha Park, Brittney Wright, Rowshawn Saffold, Shamillia Saffold, Daryl Allen, Kenneth Allen, Deanna Coney, Chabrenda Coney, Christy Coney, Charles Coney Jr., and Charleston Coney; a host of great- grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Anita Warren and Wilma Warren, all of Tampa; three Godsons, Ken- neth Matthews, Arthur Russell and Lorenza Williams; special nephew, Reverend Lores Henry Saffold and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be from 4:00- 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606. MASKS ARE REQUIRED.

MR. DEVON THOMPSON
Mr. Devon Thompson of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Fu- neral Services will be held on Sat- urday, October 16, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at New Life Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church, 6912 Williams Road, Seffner, FL 33584, Pastor Daniel M. Davy, Senior Pastor, Minister Earl Brown, Officiating. MASKS ARE REQUIRED. Interment will fol- low in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Devon Thompson was a native of Jamaica and a resident of Tampa for 27 years. He at- tended Campion High School and was a member of New Life. He was employed as a Truck Driver at Solid Tech.
He was preceded in death by: his brother, Desmond Thomp- son.
He leaves to cherish his mem- ory: his loving wife, Delcita Thompson; son, Akeem Thompson; granddaugh- ter, Nala Thompson; mother, Miriam Salmon; five sisters, Au- drey Reed (Rodney), Angela Chin (Abe), Annette German, Marlene Thompson (Derrick), and Retitia Williams (Steve); nieces and nephews and many good friends.

MRS. JOSEPHINE TOWNSEND
Mrs. Josephine Townsend, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021. Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Memo- rial Park Cemetery, 4615 East Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL, 33610, with Elder Robert Jones, officiating. Interment will fol- low.
Mrs. Townsend was a native of Ocala, FL, and a resident of Tampa for 60++ years. She was educated and graduated from Dunbar High School in Fort Myers Florida, undergraduate of Tuskegee University, and a graduate of the University of Tampa, where she received her Master’s Degree in Education. She was a member of Christ Gospel Church, Inc., National Council of Negro Women, Gamma Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Stonecroft New Tampa Women Connection. She re- tired as a school teacher.
She was preceded in death by: her loving husband, Walter James Townsend; darling daughter, Electa Davis; parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Hampton; three brothers, and three sis- ters.
She leaves cherished memo- ries with: her daughter, Andrea Craddock (Kenneth); son, Willie Frank Dempsey, Jr., (Monique); grandchildren, Adrian Williams, Eric Davis, Jr., (Rachel), Willie Frank Dempsey, III, Austin Williams (Angelica), Al-Andrae Grady Williams, Sherisse Glen (Ter- rence) and a devoted assem- blage of great grands, nieces, and nephews.

MR. MILLAGE WATSON “Batman”
Mr. Millage Watson, of Thonotosassa, FL, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021. Fu- neral services will be held on Sat- urday, October 16, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Grace Family Church, 8610 Temple Terrace Highway, Tampa, FL, 33637, with Rev- erend Charlie Sampson, Officiat- ing. MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
Mr. Watson was born in Saluda, South Carolina on June 11, 1938, to Katie Lou Goodman and Samuel Watson.
Mr. Watson moved to Florida in 1968 from Greenwood, South Carolina, where he was em- ployed with Jackson Products. He later worked as a Longshore- man.
Mr. Watson was the very proud owner of Club 57 also known as “The BatCave.”
He was preceded in death by: his oldest daughter, Marilyn Watson; parents, Sam and Katie Watson; sisters, Alice Gilliams and Vivian Kennedy; brothers, Sam Butler, Johnnie Watson and Michael Watson.
Mr. Watson leaves to cherish his memories: one son, Michael Irvin of Columbia, SC; three daughters, Millicent Crist, Melissa Watson and Melinda Watson (Wendell), all of Thono- tosassa, FL; as a daughter, Asia Johns of Thonotosassa, FL; one sister, Annie Lou Ware and hus- band Charlie, of Havre de Grace, MD; grandchildren, Tyshein Watson, Kena Brown and Kendra Joyner, all of Atlanta, GA, Toyisha Davis, of Green- wood, SC, Ramon Joyner and Douglas Watson, of Stamford, CT, Marchette Crist, Eric Crist, Jr., Christopher Crist, Tiffany Crist, Jonathan Crist, Kristoffer Clayton and Jamia Jackson, all of Thonotosassa, FL; great grandchildren, Takaia Wills, Ar- rione Watson, Quad Davis, Jay- den King, Hunter Rae Shaw, Hayes Field, Douglas Watson, Jr., Siarah Joyner, Tatiana Joyner, Cameron Joyner, Pre- cious Anderson, Joseph Ander- son and Christopher Crist, Jr.; lifelong friends, James Kenneth Pickett, Melvin Jackson, Jeanette Cooper, and Jerry Mosley; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other sor- rowing relatives and friends; the Tucker Family, McWhite Family, Mormon Family, Johnson Fam- ily, Harris Family and Singletary Family.
