Over 2,000 Youth Participate In MLK Day Of Service
Gamma Theta Omega Incorpo- rated in partnership with Gamma Theta Omega Chapter Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. held its MLK Day of Service “Family Health Summit: Nutrition — The Real Deal About Your Meal” on Sunday afternoon, January 15, 2017. The summit was held at New Hope M. B. Church, Rev. Larry J. Mouton, Jr., Pastor.
Mrs. Elaine Bryant of Gamma Theta Omega Chapter was the Pro- gram Chairman and Ms. Deborah K. Barnes is the Chapter President.
Others on the program were: Dr. Maria Russ, Supervisor of Health Services, Hillsborough County Schools; Ms. Rhonda Rhodes, Li- censed Clinical Social Worker; Ms. Tori Brown, 2016 Miss Teenage Tampa; Ms. Michelle Sterling and Ms. Collette Boggs, both of Bay Care; Mrs. Kisha Perry, New Hope MBC Youth Ministry; and high school students, who presented Art in Nu- trition.

Martha Kennedy Has A 92nd Birthday Party
Ms. Annie Mae Blake hosted a 92nd birthday party for Mrs. Martha Kennedy at her home in Seffner. Mrs. Kennedy’s son, Hewitt Smith and several friends were on hand to wish her ‘happy birthday.’ She was ‘queen for the day;’ and she and her friends dined on sumptuous soul food dishes.
