   RAY WILLIAMS
REV. LAWRENCE A. HOLTON, SR.
A Graveside Services for Rev. Lawrence Alfred Holton, Sr., passed away Friday, April 3, 2020. Due to the current restric- tions from the CDC, a private service will be held. The visita- tion will be held Thursday, April 16,2020,from3p.m.to7p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. We are asking family and friends to pay their respects and to follow the CDC guidelines.
Rev. Holton was born Sep- tember 29, 1944, and passed on Friday, April 3, 2020, at Bristol Rehabilitation Center, following a lengthy illness.
A Tampa native, Rev. Holton attended the public schools of Hillsborough County, graduat- ing from Middleton High School in 1963. He earned his A. A. de- gree from Hillsborough Commu- nity College and attended the University of South Florida.
He was preceded in death by: parents, Daniel and Lillian T. Holton, Sr.; brothers, Daniel, Jr., Theodore, Sr., Henry, and Edward Holton; sisters, Eliza- beth Holton Gainey, Lerner Dean Holton Richards, and Sylvia Holton; granddaughter, Mya Yant Davis, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members.
Cherished memories of him will remain with his children: Lila Yant (Arthur), Holley, Rod- erick Cox, LaRonica Holton, At- lanta, GA, Janell Holton (the late Otis, Sr.), Groves, Goodman, MS, Lawrence (Patricia) Holton, Jr., Orlando, FL, and Helen Holton, Leesburg, FL; grandchil- dren, DeVon (Tierra) Champion, his devoted caregiver, Devin (Breonna) Champion, Devion Holton, Atlanta, GA, Daishawn Franklin, Deshawn Franklin, Otis (Shanique) Groves, Jr., Ariel Sherae Groves, Noelle Holton, Lawrence Holton, III, M’Kai Holton, James Yant, Catherine Yant, Lilliana Cox, Roderick Cox, Jr., Angel Cox, Imani Cox, Maya Cox, Entretta Cox, Jalen Evans, and Tatiana Greene; 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Clarence (Agatha) Holton, Albert (Dixie) Holton, Charles Holton, Ronald (Willie Ruth) Holton, Sr., and Donesia (Izeal) Holton, Atlanta, GA; sis- ters, Judy Jones and Iris B. MS. MELISSA ARNOLD
A Private Service will be held in honor of Ms. Melissa Arnold, who passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2020.
Melissa Arnold was born on August 1, 1970 to the parentage of Bernice Johnson and Clarence Gordon, III. She was educated in the Hillsborough County Public School System. Melissa received her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services with a concentration in Early Child- hood Education. Melissa was a devoted Lead Teacher of Hills- borough County Board of Edu- cation/Head Start. Melissa loved encouraging others, vol- unteering and spending time with family.
Melissa was preceded in death by: her mother, Bernice Johnson and grandmother, Willie Mae Evans.
She leaves to cherish memo- ries of her with: daughters, Chantilly Arnold, Ashley Arnold and LaShondra Bell; grand- daughter, Kamayri Jean Pierre; sister, Clarenica Sims (Roland); brothers, Clarence Gordon, IV and Maurice Johnson; uncles, Albert Perry, Arnold Perry, John Perry (Laurie); aunts, Libby Perry and Albertina Perry; nieces, Shambria Young, Arlexus Gordon, Tanyia Gor- don, Dezaria Gordon, Jashyiah Gordon, Chrishia Gordon, Omega Gordon, Ca’liah Gordon, Renia Johnson, Janae’ Johnson and Eniya Johnson; nephews, Dominic Gordon, Omar Gor- don, Clarence Gordon, V, Clarence Devante’ Gordon, Cin- cere Gordon, Keyvon Johnson, Tariq Johnson, Maliq Johnson, Jordan Johnson; a host of cousins, friends and other loved ones.

MRS. HELEN L. NEWTON
Mrs. Helen L. Newton of Tampa, Florida, passed away on April 4, 2020. There will be a viewing on Friday, April 17, 2020, at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida, from 3-8 p. m.
Mrs. Helen L. Newton was born on November 25, 1949, in Edison, Georgia to the parentage of Mr. Eddie and Mrs. Ceola (Gardner) Banks. She was a Tampa resident for a number of years.
Mrs. Newton was preceded in death by: her parents, Eddie and Ceola (Gardner) Banks; son, Willie Lee Newton, Jr.; and hus- band, Willie Lee Newton, Sr.
Mrs. Helen L. Newton leaves to cherish loving memories of her with: her 3 sons, Curtis Newton, Eugene Newton and Trent New- ton, all of Tampa, Florida; 2 daughters, Sharron Newton and Demetria Newton, both of Tampa; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Henry Tinch of Albany, Georgia; 4 sisters, Ida Mae Newton of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Eva S. Jackson of California, Eddie Mae Forman of California and Mildred Boyd of Albany, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, several friends and a host of other relatives and friends.
