Lead Against Trail Blazers
The Portland Trail Blazers were left without any clear an- swers after a 100-86 loss in Game 1 of their first-round se- ries with the Memphis Griz- zlies. Game 2 appeared to offer no clarity in another dominant win for the hosts.
For the second consecutive game, the Grizzlies controlled the game at both ends and cruised to a 97-82 victory at FedEx Forum. Memphis has now taken a 2-0 lead in the se- ries that seems more com- manding than a mere numerical advantage. The Grizzlies have dictated the terms of both games, taken away what the Blazers do best, and created a scenario in

which it is very hard to imag- ine them losing this series. Portland will have to hope a return home to the Moda Cen- ter brings improvement, be- cause as of now they look to be heading for a quick exit from the postseason.
Spurs Win In OT To Even Series Against Clippers
Hawks Up 2-0 Against Brooklyn Nets
When the first-round se- ries of the 2015 NBA playoffs were set, the matchup be- tween the West's No. 3 Los Angeles Clippers and No. 6 San Antonio Spurs was la- beled as the marquee event of the postseason's first few weeks. After only two games, it has not disappointed.
The Spurs bounced back from a rough Game 1 to defeat the Clippers in overtime in Wednesday night's Game 2 at Staples Center.
The Tim Duncan-era Spurs are now 8-0 in Game 2 of the first round after losing Game 1 in the same the series. Game 2 was very intense with the highest level of play from both teams.
The play of Duncan de- fined the game’s end before the result was decided. The Spurs went to Duncan early and often as the venerable cen-

ter (who turns 39 on Saturday) dominated in the early going. He affected the game with both his stats and presence, primarily by turning Andre Jordan into an on-ball de- fender in the post instead of the rim protector who frus- trated the Spurs regularly in Game 1. Duncan's play helped the Spurs offense exe- cute as a whole.
The highly anticipated Game 3 is Friday night in San Antonio.
The No. 1 seed Atlanta Hawks are now 2-0 against the Brooklyn
Nets after DERON Wednesday WILLIAMS night’s game
at Philips Arena.
The Nets fell just short. In-
stead, once again, point guard Deron Williams comes away wearing goat horns.
After trailing by as many as 11 in the fourth quarter of Wednesday's Game 2, the Nets found themselves down just one following a corner 3- pointer by reserve point guard Jarrett Jack with 1:55 re- maining. But close only
counts for so much in the playoffs. The Hawks got away with a less-than-stellar outing, holding on for a 96-91 win. It wasn't exactly pretty, as At- lanta shot just 38.9 percent from the field, but it was good enough to give them a com- manding 2-0 lead as the ac- tion shifts to Brooklyn for Game 3 on Saturday.
Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao Contract Still Not Signed
Eleven days before the fight between Floyd May- weather and Manny Pac- quiao, an actual contract for the bout to take place at the MGM Grand still has not been signed.
Top Rank promoter Bob Arum said that he wasn't signing the contract that he re- ceived a draft of on April 15 be- cause it wasn't what he agreed to when the MGM, May- weather Promotions and he signed the term sheet a couple months ago.
"We agreed that we would all be signatories on the final contract and then they sent us a draft of the agreement and it excluded us," said Arum, who promotes Pacquiao.
Leonard Ellerbe, CEO of Mayweather Promotions, dis- agreed with Arum's charac- terization of the original deal.
"The bottom line is that
Though eleven days away, the fight between Floyd May- weather and Manny Pacquiao is still without a signed contract.
Bob isn't willing to live with the agreement signed a couple months ago, which doesn't allow him to be in control," Ellerbe said. "The only con- spiracy, in my opinion, exists with him trying to conspire with his lawyers to change the terms of the agreement. I as- sure you that nothing under- handed is going on and the reference to this back alley stuff is ridiculous."
