The Roots Visits Cuba
After eight months of dat- ing, Ariana Grande and Big Sean have parted ways.
'They both deeply care for each other and remain close friends,' their reps told Us Weekly on Monday.
'We kindly ask that the media respect their wish for privacy regarding this per- sonal matter at this time,' they added in the joined state- ment. The Love Me Harder crooner, 21, and the Finally Famous rapper, 27, are said to have amicably split a few
The atmosphere of Lip Sync Battle is something like an awesome house party where celebrity guests are all riffing off one another for maximum comedy value.
And with LL Cool J as host and Chrissy Teigen be- hind the bar the star-studded battle will leave you laughing for days.
It is a battle of the Oscar- winners in episode two when Common takes on John Legend.
Common makes for an uncanny Lionel Richie in his performance of All Night Long, dazzling the audience with his breakdancing. But Legend gives him a run for his money as MC Hammer. The hilarious sight of The Rock performing Taylor Swift's Shake It Off, for in-

stance, is tough competition for Jimmy Fallon who puts on a theatrical performance of Madonna's Like a Prayer.
Another duo facing up to each another is Anna Kendrick and John Krasinski.
The audience ultimately judges, not Teigen, though her observations from behind the bar are typically witty and self-deprecating.

Jay Z Signs Chicago Rapper To Roc Nation
VIC MENSA
According to AllHip- Hop.com, Vic Mensa already had much of the Internet tuned into his moves thanks to the critically acclaimed 2013 project Innanetape.
The co-founder of the SAVEMONEY collective (with Chance The Rapper) is now looking to expand to even greater heights by con- necting with Jay Z’s Roc Na- tion label.
The 21-year-old artist from Chicago has joined Jay, J. Cole, Rihanna, Jay Elec- tronica, and DJ Mustard on the artist roster at Roc Nation.
So far this year, Mensa has already collaborated with Roc Nation management signee Kanye West for his new cut “U Mad” as well as the “Wolves” single off Ye’s forth- coming So Help Me God album. More new music from the 2014 XXL freshman class member is expected to be re- leased throughout 2015.
‘Empire’ Mansion For Sale
Cissy Houston: Bobbi Kristina
Do you want to live like hip hop mogul Lucious Lyon from the hit show 'Em- pire'?
If you have the bank bal- ance of a mogul you could splash out on the house used for location shoots in the Fox show, which is filmed in the Chicago area.
The enormous 20,000 square foot mansion in the ritzy suburb of Barrington is opulent and private, sitting by two lakes in eight acres of manicured gardens.
The five bedroom, nine bathroom French Country- style estate that serves as a glamorous backdrop to the
show is listed at $13 million, having failed to find a buyer at $15.9 million since it first hit the market in 2013.
It took five years to build the enormous mansion, with construction finally coming to a halt in 2008. This lengthy building period was partly due to the huge amount of custom woodwork and orna- mentation in the house.
Has Opened Her Eyes, But Has
Irreversible Brain Damage
Bobbi Kristina 'is no longer in a medically induced coma,' according to her ma- ternal grandmother Cissy Houston who spoke with People on Monday.
The 81-year-old mother of the late Whitney Houston clarified the previous claims concerning her grandchild's life support and also dis- missed Bobbi Kristina's fa- ther Bobby Brown's statements that she was showing signs of improve- ment.
Cissy insisted that even though Bobbi is no longer in a coma, she is irreversibly brain damaged and said that only a miracle could save her.
The medical condition re- garding the 22-year-old as- piring singer has been at the center of much speculation due to conflicting statements from both the Brown family and Houston estate.
Bobby, 46, shocked fans on Saturday by revealing that 'Bobbi is awake,' during a Dallas concert on Saturday. And on Monday, the former New Edition hitmaker re-

leased an official statement about his child writing: 'Bobbi Kristina's condition has changed and there has been improvement.'
In a new statement, Cissy stated: 'I have just returned from visiting my granddaugh- ter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irre- versible brain damage and re- mains unresponsive.
'Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me, ' she added. 'We can only trust in God for a miracle at this time. Keep us in your prayers.'
