The Bible speaks of many stories about changes in lead- ership, some were smooth transitions; many were fought for; while others were commanded of the Lord. As New Hope undergoes a change in Pastoral Leader- ship, it is an event that will be embraced in all humility.
The congregants have said, “We are certain that our focus is not on the man of God, but on the vision God has given to theman.Heisamanwhois not a hireling, but a true under-shepherd of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are focused on the importance of his lead- ership in terms that he is a
Bible-believing, Bible- preaching and Bible-teaching pastor.”
“I am both humbled and honored to serve in the office of Pastor. I believe this role is one that the Lord has or- dained for me, and I am elated and ecstatic to be cho- sen to serve the congregation in this manner,” Pastor- Elect Mouton, Jr. stated. “I believe shepherding to be a divine enablement to care for the spiritual needs of a group of believers and to nurture them in spiritual growth, as- suming responsibility for their welfare; in addition to counsel and assisting people in their quest for wholeness.
“I believe teaching pro- vides explanation and appli- cation of the Bible that helps people learn God’s purpose for their lives. I look forward to exploring the Word of God with you and my hope is that we will rediscover both the promises and benefits of the abundant and eternal life in Him. I am overjoyed with great anticipation to meet each member of the family, and look forward to the new journey as we labor together in a harmonious fashion to continue the mission of our Lord and King, Christ Jesus!”
