Speaker Announced For 2017 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Breakfast
This year’s 37th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Breakfast, “Rediscover the Ties That Bind Us,” hosted by the Tampa Organization of Black Affairs (TOBA), will be held Monday, January 16, 2017 at 6:45 a. m. at the Hilton Hotel Down- town Tampa.
The keynote address will be given by Reverend
Dr. Otis Moss, Jr., a theologian, pastor and civic leader born in La Grange, GA in 1935. He earned his Bachelor’s de- gree from Morehouse Col- lege, his Master of Divinity degree from Morehouse School of Religion/Inter- denominational Theologi- cal Center and his Doctor of Ministry degree from the United Theological
Seminary.
Reverend Moss has
been actively involved in advocating for the achievement of education, civil and human rights and social justice issues for the majority of his adult life. Dr. Moss is a life member of the National Associa- tion for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and Sigma Pi Phi Boulé, to name a few.
Ms. Carla Hills and Mr. JaLem Robinson have been selected as the 2017 MLK Leadership Breakfast Co-Chairs. This annual event brings to- gether an audience of ap- proximately 1,000 attendees consisting of corporate sponsors, politi- cians, members of grass roots organizations and the community-at-large.

The primary mission of this event is to honor the principles espoused by Dr. King and to foster positive community relations.
