RAY WILLIAMS
MS. LILLIAN HODGINS
Ms. Lillian B. Hodgins of Tampa, FL departed from this earthly life on Sunday, February 27, 2022. Our hearts are in mourning. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at True Love Missionary Baptist Church, 3519 E. 9th Avenue, Tampa (Ybor City), FL, 33605, with Reverend James E. Richardson, Pastor/Teacher, Officiating. MASK RECOM- MENDED. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Ms. Lillian B. Hodgins was born October 6, 1934, in Tampa Florida, to Eura Lee Ball-Adams and Melvin J. Ball. She was the third of six children born to that union.
She received her elementary education at Mitcham Elemen- tary School, junior high school education at Don Thompson, and high school education at the Hillsborough County Public Schools.
On January 23, 1963, Lillian married the love of her life, Wel- don T. Hodgins. Together they created a home full of love, sup- port, and adventure as a family.
Lillian worked for the Hills- borough County Public Schools
   Health and Nutrition Dept. Lillian was baptized into Christ at Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church under the Pastoral Leadership of Reverend J.B. Bryant. She then joined True Love Missionary Baptist Church under the Pastoral Leadership of
Reverend James Richardson.
A devoted caregiver, helping others... traveling, and being around family and friends, she enjoyed shopping, cooking, and baking. She loved being at her son and daughter-in-law’s home. She looked forward to phone calls, gatherings, and the impartations of love and support she so freely
gave.
She was preceded in death by:
her husband, Weldon T. Hodgins; mother, Eura Lee Ball Adams; fa- ther, Melvin J. Ball; stepfather, Albert Adams; grandmothers, Pearl Ball and Essie B. Walker; sister, Hazel Reeves Mitchell; and 3 brothers, Alphonso, Richard and Roland Ball.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Reverend James B. Cason and wife, Minis- ter Gail Cason; grandchildren, Tanza Evans (David), Kenya Ball (Natalie), Andre Scott (Roccio), LaTasha C. Scott, James Ball and TyShanbria Pace (Prince); one sister, Daisy Pearl Kirce of Sara- sota, FL; sister-in-law, Marjorie Ball of Kissimmee, FL, and a host of nieces and nephews, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren; a very special cousin, Vastoria Reeves, and lov- ing friends that are also honor- able to mention but too many to name.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33605. MASK RECOMMENDED.

MS. KATREEN SLOAN JONES
Ms. Katreen Sloan Jones,of Tampa, FL,passed away on Sun- day, March 6, 2022. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, 3:00 p.m. at Vic- tory AME Church, 5202 S. 86th St., Tampa, FL, 33619, with Rev- erend Leland L. Johnson, offici- ating. MASK RECOMMENDED. Ms. Katreen Sloan Jones was a native of Tampa, FL, and a resi- dent for 58 years. She attended Tampa Bay Tech High School and was an attendee of Loving Hill Primitive Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Mr. Cleo L. Sloan and Mrs. Christine Minor Sloan.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughters, Tameka Jones Martin (William) and Katasha McKelvin (Ronnie); son, Kerrick Jones (Anita); children’s father, Leroy Jones; brother, Timothy; embraced children, Rita Bolden, Deneen Jones, Dwayne Jones, Leroy Jones, Chris Jones, Kevin Jones and Heather Cotton; grandchildren, Jazmin Martin, Alexus Martin, Kialona Jones, Sandriea Jones, Cleo McKelvin, Kieana Jones, Kerrick Jones, Jr., Kayvon Jones, Ariel Barber, Cassandra Barber, Amya Stephens, Stephan Jones, Jahquel Jones, Kalize Jones and A’kyilah Jones; great grandchil- dren, Ja’ziyah, Ja’liyah, Je’mee- riah and Zora and a host of other relatives and friends.

Ms. Violet M. McCarter, of Tampa, FL, passed away on Sat- urday, February 26, 2022. Ms. Violet M. McCarter was born on September 3, 1942, to Brewster and Susie Bell Grant, in Fernandina Beach, FL. She attended Peck High School in Fernandina Beach, FL. She later moved to Tampa, where she was an active member of Life in Christ Community Church under the leadership of Pastor Arthur L. Randall.
Ms. McCarter was preceded in death by: her brothers, Paul Grant, Alonza Grant, Leo F. Grant and Brewster Grant, Jr., and one sister, Margaret (Kirsey) Grant.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three children, Clara E. McCarter, Reden R. McCarter and Rudolph McCarter, Jr.; one grandson, Diamante D. Mc- Carter; one sister, Jestina Grant; two sisters-in-law, Vir- ginia Grant, of Fernandina Beach, FL and Mildred Grant, and a host of nieces and nephews.

MR. FRANK LILLY
Celebrating the Life of Mr. Frank Lilly of Tampa, FL, who passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 with Dr. B. R. Fulton, Jr., officiating. Mr. Frank Lilly was a native of Tampa, FL, and a resident for 71 years. He attended the Hills- borough County Public Schools and was a member of Greater Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church. He was employed as a Maintenance Technician at Tampa Park Apartments for 26 years.
Mr. Lilly was preceded in death by: his parents, Frank and Rosa Lee Lillie; brother, Earl Lil- lie; sisters, Nettie Kindell, Ruthie Mae McCray and Eva Mae Valentina; mother-in-law, Jennie Scarborough; aunt, Car- rie Moore; uncle, Cecil Davis and grandson, Jared Harrell.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 46 years, Carolyn Lilly; daughters, Rozaundra Lillie (Francene), Kinya Lillie and Tavia H. Loss has taught us many things. Now we face each day with hope and happy memories to help us on our way.
Although we are full of sadness that you are no longer here, your influence still guides us and we still feel you near. There is not a day that goes by that we don’t think of you.
