Man Faces Life, Wife Faces 20 Years For Armed Robbery
Police Seek Man Who Burglarized Car Lot
Last Thursday, a Brandon couple pleaded guilty to con- spiracy and armed robbery. A sentencing date has not been set by the courts.
According to the plea agreements, Jacorian Rashawn Brown, 24, and Jessica Duenas Nicholas, 45, both of Brandon, robbed the Murphy USA Gas Station in Wimauma, of more than $10,000, on July 9, 2016. Ten days later, on July 19, 2016, they went to the Mur- phy USA Gas Station in Gib- sonton and attempted to rob it, but were not successful.

tempted to rob it again. However, they were arrested before the robbery could take place.
During the arrest, deputies with the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office found two semi-automatic

handguns and nearly 100 rounds of ammunition inside their vehicle.
Ms. Nicholas is facing 20 years in federal prison for her role in the crime. Brown is facing a life sentence in federal prison.
The Tampa Police De- partment is seeking commu- nity help to locate a man who broke into a car lot. Police said approximately $525 in values were taken.
According to the Tampa Police Department, the bur- glary at Tru Auto, 6817 N. Florida Avenue, took place on February 9th. A video shows a Black man, between the ages of 30 and 40, and possibly having tattoos on both forearms, climb across the fence.
The man is said to have taken a flashlight, circular saw, and torx bit set from the business. It is possible that he was wearing a New Eng- land Patriots hat with a gold sticker on top of the bill. He
could also have been wearing a long necklace with military style dog tags.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Tampa Police Department or Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay.

Man Charged After Car Plunges Into Lake
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 21- year-old man last Friday and charged him with fleeing and eluding, driving while his li- cense were under suspension or revoke, reckless driving, and leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage.
He was also charged with violation of probation on a DUI charge.
According to police, Leroy Henry, of Tampa, was driving a dark green In- finiti when he crashed the
foot.
Police said Henry was
out of jail on bond for a vio- lation of probation arrest that took place on February 7, 2017.
Police Search For Suspect Who Used Victim’s Credit Card
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for two men who en- tered an unlocked car and re- moved property. The burglary took place February 8th, be- tween 8 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.
Police said two Black men entered the car and removed items including a credit card. Soon after the burglary, the suspects used the credit card twice at the Wal-Mart, 8220 N. Dale Mabry Highway.
The suspects are described in their teens or early 20s. They may have been driving a 4-door sedan.

Woman Charged With Kidnapping Infant Arrested

The St. Petersburg Police Department arrested a 35- year-old woman last Thurs- day. She was charged with several crimes linked to a pending court case.
According to police, shortly before 4 p.m., Ms. Lorraine Rainey was taken into custody. She was charged with burglary, false imprisonment, tampering with a witness and kidnap- ping. She was booked into the Pinellas County Jail.
Police said Ms. Rainey allegedly attempted to run over her husband, Robert Rainey, at their home at 4720 1st Avenue, North last Wednesday. Her husband was not injured.
However, her neighbor, Ms. Anita Johnson, al- legedly witnessed the inci- dent.
Last Thursday morning, Ms. Rainey forced her way into Ms. Johnson’s home. Once inside, she is alleged to have coerced Ms. Johnson to drive to Police Headquar- ters to change her statement.
Ms. Rainey remained in the car with Ms. Johnson’s 2-1/2-month-old daughter, London Baker.
When Ms. Johnson, 33, came out of the police de- partment, Ms. Rainey was gone with the infant. Police were alerted and launched an

Ms. Rainey and the in-
fant were located in their neighborhood. When she saw the police in the area, she began to walk and run around the neighborhood. She was caught and the in- fant was returned to her mother. She was not injured.
Ms. Rainey was trans- ported from the police de- partment back to where she was located with the infant.
Police want to talk to the person who picked Ms. Rainey up from the police department and transported her back to her neighbor- hood.
