Prince’s Albums Take #1 And #2 Spots On Billboard Chart
Prince’s artistry is still being celebrated by fans all over, and while his untimely passing this past Thursday (Apr. 21) is still hard to swal- low, his music is living on. It’s being reported by Billboard two of his albums, The Very Best Of Prince and Purple Rain have snagged the top two spots on their album charts, re- spectively.
The Very Best Of Prince fea- tures hits like “I Wanna Be
Your Lover,” “1999,” “Cream,” and “Thieves In The Temple,” while Purple Rain includes “I Would Die 4 U,” “When Doves Cry,” and the title track for the 1984 film, which won an Oscar for Best Original Film Score.
Billboard also reports, Prince’s overall catalog sold 256,000 copies — an increase of 5,298 percent compared to the previous week (5,000).”
That Purple Reign just won’t let up.
KEY AND PEELE
If you’re a Key and Peele fan, you’ve probably experi- enced a period of mourning and withdrawal since the final episode aired last September. But sweet relief is finally here in a new action/ comedy called “Keanu”, the comedic duo’s first feature film about a guy who gets mixed up in the crim- inal underworld over his love for a super cute kitten.
Jordan Peele stars as Rell, a down-on-his-luck man who finds new meaning in life when he adopts an adorable furry lit- tle companion, the titular Keanu. When his beloved kit- ten is catnapped, he teams up with his equally straight-laced suburbanite cousin Clarence (Keegan-Michael Key) to in- filtrate a street gang and rescue the little fuzzykins. But Keanu’s so damn adorable, everybody wants him, setting off a gang war and forcing Clarence and Rell to take the law into their own hands.
Keanu is directed by Peter Atencio (who directed every episode of Key and Peele) and also stars Tiffany Haddish, Method Man, Jason Mitchell, Luis Guzman, Nia Long and Will Forte. The film hits theaters Friday with rave reviews from the critics of being really, really funny.
Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky, Mike, Ralph, and Johnny are getting the biopic treat- ment. BET announced the members of the Boston-bred R&B group New Edition will be the subject of an upcoming miniseries about their careers, and Empire star Bryshere “Yazz” Gray was tapped to play New Jack Swing pioneer Michael Bivins.
Gray is part of a cast that in- cludes Keith Powers (Ron- nie DeVoe), Woody McClain (Bobby Brown), Elijah Kelley (Ricky Bell), Algee Smith (Ralph Tres-
Judy Huth’s lawsuit claim- ing Bill Cosby molested her inside the Playboy Mansion when she was 15-years-old can proceed, a Los Angeles County judge has ruled.
The decision announced Tuesday came after Cosby's camp challenged the legal suf- ficiency of the claims dating back to around 1974.
The decision by Superior Court Judge Craig Karlan al- lows most of Huth's lawsuit to proceed but dismisses a claim of negligent infliction of emo- tional distress.
At a hearing earlier this month, Huth's other lawyer John West argued that be- cause Cosby was a "substan-

“I’ve been working with a di- alect coach. I went to Boston for about four weeks to really live that Boston life to under- stand where Michael came from,” says Gray. “I was just learning a lot about him, so I can take that home with me. It’s fun.”
