Paul Pierce Scuffles With Security And Calls Them Racist At McGregor Fight
PAUL PIERCE
Former Boston Celtics star Paul Pierce got into it with a security guard Saturday night at UFC 229 in Vegas.
Paul was trying to get to the first floor of the arena when apparently a security guard questioned if he had a ticket to be in the area.
The two exchanged words, and at one point the guard puts his hands on Pierce to block him from walking.
Staff eventually intervened and the two separated. Pierce called the guards racist before walking back to his seat.
One Month After Win Naomi Osaka Says ‘The Hype’ Has Her Stressed
NAOMI OSAKA
Naomi Osaka, the 20- year-old tennis phenom who became U.S. Open champ last month, says “the hype” of celebrity is a bit much.
Osaka made global news last month when she beat the legendary Serena Williams in Flushing, N.Y. in a match that drew controversy. During the final match, Williams admonished a tennis official who fined her after claiming that her coach was signaling to her from the sidelines.
Since then, Osaka has signed a lucrative deal with Adidas, appeared on TV with Ellen DeGeneres and has even had Black Panther star Michael Jordan, on whom she has admitted a crush, send her a video note.
“I think definitely as the weeks go by, I have this feel- ing of wanting to prove my- self,” Osaka said. “I think that sort of takes a toll on me a little bit because I stress my- self out in a way.”

  Wears Kaepernick
Shirt To Lakers Game
LeBron James showed up to the third preseason game of his new life as a Los Angeles Laker with a Colin Kaepernick shirt on. The black long-sleeved shirt has the NFL free agent’s named emblazoned on the back of it. He was photographed walk- ing through the arena and also in the locker room with his statement-making shirt
on.James is a Nike athlete who is featured in the brand’s 30th anniversary ‘Just Do It’ advertisement along with Kaepernick, Serena Williams and more.
He was making a state- ment of support for the social and civil rights figure.
“I wore a Kaepernick shirt tonight, one, because it’s Nike and I’m a Nike guy,” he reportedly said. “And then, two, I support Kap. I’ve al- ways supported Kap and what he stands for and what he believes in.”
LEBRON JAMES
James also posted multi- ple photos with his Kaeper- nick shirt on Instagram. The post, which has over one mil- lion likes, was liked by ath- letes such as Dez Bryant and Odell Beckham, Jr.
Kaepernick is the new face of Nike’s 30th anniver- sary Just Do It campaign, and the tagline “Believe in some- thing. Even if it means sacri- ficing everything” has been praised (and of course meme’d) since the advertise- ment’s release.
      Richard Sherman Blasts
The NFL For Making Average
QBs Look Like Stars
If there is one player in the NFL who has proven time and time again that he really does- n’t care, it’s defensive back Richard Sherman.
Over the past 14 months, Sherman has defended Colin Kaepernick by rip- ping several bad NFL QBs, put NFL fans on blast for their ob- session with fantasy football and gambling (then did an ad for fantasy football), rightfully mocked the NFL’s concussion protocol, and torched the NFL again for its lowering the hel- met rule.
Now this week, during a press conference on Thursday, Sherman took aim at the NFL yet again, this time going after his employer for their ridiculous roughing the passer rule.
“An average quarterback’s passer rating is like 92. And that used to be Hall of Fame numbers,” Sherman told the

assembled media. “But now it’s not Hall of Fame numbers, that’s the average quarterback.
“You can’t touch him. You can’t tackle him. You can’t hit him high, you can’t hit him low. You can’t knock him down to the ground hard, if you push him too bad, all that. You can’t hit a receiver too high, you can’t hit him low, you can’t push him. You can barely press him. It’s making it really diffi- cult on teams to combat it be- cause every rule in the book is designed to make sure you don’t get them stopped.”
