Kyrie Irving Believes LeBron James Leaked Trade Request
LeBron Had A 'Heavy Heart'
Kyrie Irving reportedly requested a trade from the Cavaliers, noting his desire to leave Cleveland was based on parting ways with LeBron James.
That all remained under wraps for a couple weeks.
Why did it become public now?
Stephen A. Smith on ESPN:
According to my sources, they believe LeBron James had everything to do with news getting out that Kyrie Irving wants to be traded, because Kyrie Irving and his representation and others met with the Cavaliers a cou- ple weeks ago, and not a word got out until recently. They believe that LeBron James got word of it and was put off by it and leaked it. I’m not going to accuse LeBron of such a thing. I don’t know that to be true at all. But I know that’s what Kyrie Irv- ing believes.
To reemphasize, Smith is not reporting that LeBron

When you’re in the mid- dle of a difficult time, listen- ing to some music can help you either put your troubles aside for a minute or focus in on what you’re feeling enough to be able to reach some catharsis.
Whether what turned up on LeBron James’ insta- gram story on Saturday was an example of the latter sort of sonic experience, or just pure coincidence, is any- body’s guess.
It sure is interesting, though, that one day after the bombshell report that Kyrie Irving had walked into a meeting with Cleve- land Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert and requested a trade in part because, after three trips to the NBA Finals and one NBA championship, he no longer wanted to play with James, LeBron chose to hit the ‘gram with a short burst of eyes-covered head- bobbing along to a very par- ticular part of “Heavy
leaked Irving’s trade re- quest, just that Irving be- lieves LeBron did. That alone speaks to their discon- nect.
Why would LeBron leak
it?
Just speculating, but
maybe to ruin Irving’s chance at a smooth exit. Irv- ing is trying to bail on Le- Bron, and LeBron might take that personally. Leaking the trade request would be in character for LeBron as a
passive-aggressive response. But the trade request be- coming public also hinders Irving’s trade value – which hurts LeBron’s team. How- ever, people don’t always act logically when they’re upset. And maybe the Cavs won’t be LeBron’s team long enough
for it to matter.
Again, though, nobody is
reporting LeBron actually leaked it. Irving’s reported accusation means enough in itself.
NFL Players Invest In Lemonade Business Owned By 12-Year-Old
Mikalia Ulmer, 12, is the owner of BeeSweet Lemonade and NFL player, Arian Foster.
Two years ago, budding en- trepreneur Mikalia Ulmer wowed the Shark Tank judges with her BeeSweet Lemonade venture. The precocious adoles- cent impressed the investors so much that they donated $60,000 into her business. Now, Mikalia’s venture is get- ting even more monetary sup- port.
Arian Foster and other NFL players invested $810,000 into Me & The Bees Lemonade during a “Been Brilliant Entre- preneur Day” in Houston, Texas (July 6).
The other pros who joined Foster’s pledge include Shar- rick McManis, Omar Bolden, Bobby Wagner, Jonathan Grimes, Glover Quin, Darius Slay, EJ Manuel, Malik Jackson, Duane Brown and more.

In breaking the story of Irving’s trade request, said that “James was blindsided and disappointed” when he learned that Kyrie wanted out. During a subsequent ap- pearance on ESPN’s “Par- don the Interruption,” Windhorst used a stronger word to describe James’ re- action: “devastated.”

Soul Food Restaurant In
Hometown By Buying It
A 25-year-old man, who looks nothing like Chad Johnson, was arrested for reportedly pretending to be the ex-NFL player at a Louis Vuitton store in Aspen, Col- orado recently.
According to the Aspen Times, Mervin Cabe of Miami attempted to pur- chase more than $18,000 worth of merchandise, after telling employees that he was the ex-NFL player.
Cabe’s plan fell apart when he couldn’t verify his
identity claim in order for the purchase to be approved. Since Johnson happens to be a frequent Louis Vuitton patron, Cabe was asked to give the former professional athlete’s phone number listed on his customer profile ID.
When he failed to come up with the right number, Cabe reportedly tried to use a credit card to buy the goods. The card was declined twice, before Cabe decided to use an Apple pay account.
Ahead of Marshawn Lynch’s professional return to his hometown of Oakland, Calif., the Raiders signee will preserve a longstanding Emeryville staple: Scends Restaurant and Bar.
According to KTVU, the 79-year-old owner, Cassie Nickelson, said she plans to retire and thus, close down her restaurant. However, Lynch stepped in and de- cided to purchase the busi- ness.
His history with Nickel- son and the soul-food restaurant stems back to his childhood when he always or- dered the same dish from Nickelson’s catering busi- ness.
“When he was 9 years old, he came across the street to get a hamburger and French fries, the 25-cent French fries and a 75-cent hamburger,” Nickelson said. She added that she’s “comfortable” with Lynch becoming the owner

restaurant’s proceedings.
