August Alsina Hospitalized After Losing Ability To Walk And Suffering Nerve Damage
NEW ORLEANS, LA – August Alsina had a good reason for missing a 2019 Essence Festival gig in his hometown of New Orleans. The R&B singer revealed he was hospitalized after waking up one day without the ability to walk.
“I couldn’t feel my legs,” he said in an Instagram video posted Monday (July 8). “My doctor ended up admitting me into the hospital, doing a bunch of tests. He said I have some nerve damage going on throughout my whole body that I have to go into a recov- ery process for. It’s like my immune system just went on vacation.”
Alsina also wrote about the situation in the post’s cap- tion.
“I’m here with the stitch & to also apologize for not being able to make the essence fest gig last night,” he explained. “I take my career & your time very seriously & the fact that you guys show up for me, endlessly. Means the

Kevin Gates Visits Louisiana Rap Legends C-Murder & Mac In Prison
ST. GABRIEL, LA – Kevin Gates recently paid a visit to incarcerated rappers C-Mur- der and Mac at the Elyan Hunt Correctional Center in St. Gabriel, Louisiana.
While at the prison, he ran into big homies Lee Lucas, Big Marlo and Cornbread, which he documented on In- stagram.

ter P’s brother, was convicted of the 2002 shooting death of 16-year-old Steven Thomas in 2009. He’s currently serv- ing a life sentence.

was arrested for the alleged shooting of 19-year-old Bar- ron C Victor, Jr. and charged with second-degree murder. In 2001, he was con- victed of manslaughter and sentenced to thirty years to life in prison.
Erykah Badu Reveals She's Been Fighting Ricky Smiley's Mom For Years
Erykah Badu has had sev- eral high profile relationships throughout her 48 years on this planet, including one with comedian/talk show host Rickey Smiley.
On Tuesday (July 9), Ms. Badu hopped on Instagram and revealed just how much disdain she has for Smiley’s mother, Carolita Smiley Lester.
In the caption, Badu claims Lester has gotten physical with her on three (make that four) separate occasions. She says Lester showed up at a re- cent Dallas show and was wait- ing for her backstage. Badu says she’s normally able to fight her off but this time, Lester socked her in the jaw.
