MRS. MARY ELLEN GIVENS-JONES BYNES
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Mary Ellen Givens-Jones Bynes of Tampa, Florida, who passed away in Houston, Texas on Wednesday July 3, 2019 will be held on Tuesday, July 16th, 11 a. m. at New Saint Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, 4603 N. 42nd Street, Pastor Dwayne K. Gaddis, with Rev. Bryan officiating. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memo- rial Park Cemetery.
Mary Ellen Givens-Jones Bynes was born April 15, 1936 to the late Garfield J. Givens and Frances Marie Bowles-Camps. She was educated by the Hillsbor- ough County Public Schools. She earned her diploma at Middleton High School and Florida A&M University of Tallahassee, Florida.
While residing in Texas she attended St. Paul AME Church with Rev. Roderick Dawson, pas- tor. She was an active member participating in 4 church organi- zations. Prior to relocating to Houston, she was a very active choir member, a lead soloist, Local Women’s Missionary Soci- ety Member, Stewardess and Hos- pitality Committee at New St. Paul AME Church, Tampa, Florida. She was known for her inexhaustible energy giving of herself as a hum- ble servant of God to her family, friends and church ministries. She was on Assistant Y. P. D. Di- rector, Lola Simon Chapter #162 Order of Eastern Stars.
She was employed with St. Peter Claver Catholic School and Hillsborough County Public Schools for 36 years of dedicated and committed service, reaching the lives of students at all levels of her teaching career. She enjoyed reading, studying the word, daily devotionals, family gatherings church functions, gardening and going to the casinos with her friends.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Willie “Bubba” Bynes and Robert E. Jones, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her pre- cious memories with: her chil- dren, Reginald, Robert, II and Kim, all of Houston, Texas.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Mon- day,July12thfrom5to7p.m.The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Tuesday for the service.

MOTHER DAISY LEE (HORTON) COPELAND
A Homegoing Celebration for Mother Daisy Lee (Horton) Copeland, of Tampa, FL, who passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019, will be held Saturday, July 13th, 11 a.m., at St. John Progressive M. B. Church, 2504 E. Chipco, Rev. Bartholomew Banks, pastor; Rev. Lloyd Black, officiating.
Mother Daisy Lee Copeland was born on April 24, 1930, in Daw- son, GA. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Thomas and Cora Holder; children, Clarence Copeland, III, Cora Green, and Johnny Horton; grandchildren, Clarence Copeland, IV, Ray Copeland, Derrick Leggett, Richard Iverson, and Evangela Copeland.
Mother Copeland was the last survivor of 13 siblings. “Daisy Lee” as she was affectionately called, was employed as a domestic engi- neer for many years. Her life was centered around taking care of her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the love of her life.
She was very well known in the Jackson Heights Community. She was a faithful member of the Bread of Life Family Worship Center, Tampa FL, under the pastorate of her beloved son, Pastor Ozzie Hor- ton.
She leaves to celebrate her life: 6 children Irma Wiggins, Geneva Copeland (Ezra), Shirley Black (Lloyd), Leola Green (John) and Felicia Tolbert (William), all of Tampa; and Pastor Ozzie Horton (Cheryl), Ocala, FL; grandchildren: Reggie, Rhonda, Chloe, Lisa, Ty- ronda (Ernest), Marcus (Ominik), Michael (Kay), Ashaquay, Shonda (Leroy), Missy, Ashley, Jermaine, Tony, Iesha, Twanshaye, Tracy, Carlos, Mario, Lloyd, John, Brid- gette, Gino, Antonio, Makita, Joyce, Kim, Dontae and Faye; sis- ter-in-law, Minnie B. Rush; and a host of great grandchildren, great, great, grandchildren, and the en- tire Holder Family; goddaughter, Kristia Aikens; and a host of other loving family, friends and church family.
Daisy Lee was the glue that held us together, the wind beneath our wings. This matriarch was a pow- erful woman and the very soil in which we ALL grew. She will al- ways be worthy of our honor. The rich history of this family will re- main centered around YOU.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, July 12th from 5 to 7 p.m.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church for the service.

MRS. ERNESTINE TURNER
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Ernestine Turner, of Tampa, Fl, who passed away, Monday, July 8, 2019, will be held on Tuesday, July 16th, 2 p. m., at First Baptist Church of Progress Village, 8722 Progress Blvd., Rev. Dr. Samuel L. Maxwell, Senior Pastor, officiating.
The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ernestine Turner was born on June 1, 1930, in Tampa, FL to the late Mattie Williams- Lankford and the late Homer (Katie) Bell. She was married to Stanley Turner, who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Ernestine Bell Turner “Honey,” died peacefully in Fayet- teville, Georgia at the age of 89.
She was preceded in death by 1 brother, Andrew Bell, Sr., and sis- ter-in-law Rilla May Bell; 3 sisters, Mary Darby, Barbara Bell and Gloria Johnson; daughters, Marilyn Bell McCray and Gwendolyn Ealy; sons- in-law, George McCray and Lawrence Ealy; and grandchildren, Renita Ealy, and George McCray III.
Ernestine accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of First Baptist Church of Progress Vil- lage, where she served on the Senior Usher Board. She was a dedicated Christian who loved the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She graduated from the public schools of Hillsborough County in Tampa, where she began working for Morrison Cafeteria as a baker prior to working for Hillsborough County Public Schools as a school bus driver, where she retired after 22 years of service.
She was a member of the “Princesonettes and the Red Hat- ters.”
Ernestine blessed this earth with 8 children. Her children remember her as a driven mother who encour- aged them to pursue their goals.
She is survived by children, Berthenia (Otis) Lamb, Fort Worth, TX; Robert (Loretta) Bell, Sacra- mento, CA; Donald (Mary Ann) Sim- mons, Dallas, TX; Ernest (Sylvia) Jones, Marietta, GA; Veronica Jones (Larry) Johnson, Fayetteville, GA and Michael (Sharlene) Jones, Den- ton, TX; 6 stepchildren, Essic Turner, Charlotte (Lawrence) Mathis, Larry Turner, Cheryl Turner, Carolyn Turner and Eugenia Turner.
Ernestine loved and cherished her grandchildren, James (Jimmy) Williams, Linda Ealy, Patricia Ealy, Ernest Jones, Jr., Erin Ramsay, Michael Bell, Marilyn Goldwire, Donald Simmons, Jr., Asa Simmons, Breanna Jones, Kiara Jones, Jolisa Jones and Sydney Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, great grandchil- dren and great, great grandchildren, good friends, Juanita Banks and Mary Reid of Tampa, FL and her goddaughter, Kathy Miller.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Monday, July 12th from 5 to 7 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m.

MR. LIONAL KEITH WOODALL
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Lional Keith Woodall of Olds- mar, FL, who passed away on Fri- day, June 28, 2019, will be held on Saturday, July 13th, 11 a. m. at Cathedral of Faith Church, 6304 N. 30th Street, Apostle James H. How- ell, pastor; Pastor Jerry Finch of New Hope M. B. Church of Olds- mar, officiating. The interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Lional Keith Woodall was born October 2, 1954 in Tampa, Florida, the second youngest child born to the late James Jerome and Lovie Thomas Woodall, and grandson of the late Rev. Samuel P. and Addie Bell Miller.
Keith accepted Christ at a young age as his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He joined the First Union M. B. Church, where his grandfather, the late Rev. Samuel Preston Miller was one of the early church founders. He was baptized under the pastorate of the late Rev- erend John W. Watkins, where he sang in the junior choir, served on the usher board and participated in numerous church activities. Into his adulthood, he sang in the special chorus choir.
Keith was educated in the pub- lic schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Chamber- lain High School, Class of 1972. Upon his graduation from high school, he moved to Germany and worked for the United States Mili- tary as an electrician. On March 28, 2003 he was united in holy matrimony to Paulette Ann Marie Wedderburn. Keith was affiliated with the Prince Hall Mason Mt. Pleasant Lodge #13 and was self- employed for the past 25 years as Founder and CEO of “Need a Real Technician – Call KEITH.”
Keith was a happy and loving person with kind manners. He never asked for anything, yet was always willing to give to those in need. A bright light has gone out for us now, our family chain is bro- ken yet again, but God calls us, one by one, the chain will link again. He will be sadly missed.
Keith was preceded in death by: his parents, James Jerome and Lovie Thomas Woodall and grand- parents, the late Reverend Samuel P. and Addie Bell Miller; two sis- ters, Maxine Chisholm and Annie E. Bogan; and William “Bill” Roberts (brother and friend).
He leaves to lament fond and cherished memories: a devoted wife, Paulette Ann Marie Woodall; two daughters, Neekeida Slaugh- ter (Clifton) and Martina “Tina” Moore; two sons, Leo Gilgchrest (Allison), Allen Martin; mother- in-law, Phillis Wedderburn; fa- ther-in-law, George Wedderburn; grandsons, Justin Woodall, J’won Pickett, Clifton Slaughter, Jr., Camryn Slaughter, Micah John- son and Elijah Gilgchrest; sisters, Barbara Woodall Jones, Lillian “Nita” Hodgson; brothers, Harold M.
