MOTHER LEVARNE ‘DUKE’ KAIGLER SPANN
Mother LeVarne “Duke” Kaigler Spann of Tampa, passed away Monday, July 1, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted Satur- day, July 13, at 2 p. m. at Pilgrims Rest M. B. Church, 4202 W. Nassau St., Reverend Cornelius Murvin, Sr. Pastor, Reverend Paul Robinson, officiator, with Reverend Herbert D. McFadden, eulogist. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mother Spann was a native of Tampa, and was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County. She was a Chartered Mem- ber of New Birth M. B. Church for 30+ years where she served tire- lessly with many Choirs throughout Hillsborough County, using her voice to minister through Songs of Praise. Mother Spann served in many capacities and on many Aux- iliaries: Sanctuary, Mass, Adult En- semble Choirs, New Birth’s Caravan Gospel Group, Advocate for the Youth & Children’s Ministry - Choir Director, Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher, Youth Counselor for Christian Edu- cation Department and Fine Arts Ministry, Deaconess Ministry, Evangelism Outreach Team (ETA), Pastoral Council, Pastor’s Aide Committee, Culinary Ministry, Women Intermediate (WIA), Vice President of Senior Women’s Min- istry and the Sick and Shut in Com- mittee.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Tom Stuckey and Mary McAllister; husband, George Spann; brother, John McAllister, Sr.; nephew, Elder John McAllister; and spiritual brother, Rev. Darryl Crawley.
She leaves to cherish loving memories: her daughter, Geraldine Miller; daughter-in-law, Elma Set- tle; son-in-law, Velmont Miller; brother, Kenneth McAllister; sister- in-law, Jessie McAllister; grand- daughter, Valarie Martin; grandson, Jamel Owens; great- granddaughter, Ciera Williams (Brandon); great-great grandson, Brandon “BJ” Williams; a host of nephews and nieces; goddaughters, Jackie Watson and Meshia Jones; godsons, Kenneth Woods, Sir Ken- neth Woods, Halen McFadden, and Cedrick Gaynor; extended family, Rev. Herbert (Robin) McFadden, Jackie Watson, Patricia Ward, Peggy Gray, Deloris Hester, Rev. Timothy (Felecia) Cohen, Helen Kerr, her favorite girls, Sharise Norwood, Ganae Norwood, Ariel Jenkins, Loretha Barthel and Tiffany Higdon.
The remains will repose after 5 p. m. Friday, July 12th, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.

ELDER RICHARD WRIGHT
Elder Richard Wright of Seffner, FL passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019 to be present with the Lord. Funeral services will be con- ducted Saturday, July 13 at 1 p. m. at Grace Mary M. B. Church, 3901 N. 37th Street with Elder James R. Reed, Jr., Pastor, officiating, Inter- ment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Elder Wright was a native of Phenix City, Alabama, born to the late Bessie B. Wright and the late Booker T. Harris. He was educated in the Muscogee County School Sys- tem, Columbus, GA, where he grad- uated from George Washington Carver High School in 1964. After high school, he joined the Air Force and was assigned at MacDill AFB, FL.
In 1965, Airman Third Class Wright met Willianna Elizabeth Morris and later married her. From that union came three daugh- ters and a son, Gwendella, Richelle, Monica and Daryl. Master Sergeant Wright was a spiritual leader, unswerving provider and devoted to his wife and children. While still in the Air Force, he added to the family another daughter, Senior Airman Tajuana Brown.
In 1986, after 22 years of dedi- cated duty to the United States Air Force, he retired from military service and moved his family to Tampa. It was then that he joined Grace Mary Missionary Baptist Church, and was a faithful member until his death. After retiring from the Air Force, Richard joined the United States Postal Service where he worked until his retirement in June 2019.
He was preceded in death by: his beloved wife, Willianna and son, Daryl.
He leaves to celebrate and cher- ish memories of him: four daugh- ters, Gwendella (Ferris) Pugh, Richelle Wright (MSgt, USAF (Ret.)), Monica (John) McCoy, Tajuana Brown; four grandchil- dren, Ceddric Moses, Lianichella Wright, Katera McCoy, Darius Pugh; two great-grandchildren, Landon Petty, Alivia Petty; two brothers, Carlton (Jackie) Murray, John (Shirley) Harris, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, godchildren, friends and Grace Mary Missionary Baptist Church family.
The remains will repose and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p. m. Friday, July 12th, at Grace Mary M. B. Church.

MRS. ERNESTINE HAMILTON DUNN
Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Ernestine Hamilton Dunn, who passed away July 5, 2019, will be held at 2 p. m. on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 3410 E. Mrs. Ernestine Hamilton Dunn was born on February 19, 1950 in Thomson, Georgia (Mc- Duffie County) to the parentage of John Willie Hamilton and Polly Gantt Hamilton. She was a resi- dent of Tampa, Florida for over 60 years.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, John Willie Hamilton and Polly Gantt Hamilton; son, Victor Dunn.

MRS. MARGARET IRENE R. BROWN
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Margaret Irene R. Brown, who passed away on July 5, 2019, will be held at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, FL, at 12 noon on Saturday July 13, 2019, with Rev. W. D. Sims, Officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL.
Mrs. Margaret Irene R. Brown was born September 16, 1943, to Pearlie Mae Randall and Robert Lee Pride in Tampa. She attended elementary school at Mt. Calvary S.D.A. and accepted Christ in those early years.
She subsequently attended and graduated from Middleton High School, Class of 1960. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Florida A & M University and later, her Master’s Degree from the Uni- versity of Tampa.
Her teaching career with Hills- borough County Public Schools al- lowed her to positively impact the lives of many, many students. She began at Jennings (Elementary), in Seffner and later joined the faculty of Yates Elementary School, where she later retired after 30 years of dedicated service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Calvin Brown; her mother, Pearlie Mae Randall Riley; father, Robert Lee Pride; brothers, Joseph (Joe) Riley, Jr., and Rodney Riley; cousins, Mildred (Jackie) Howard, Sabrina Washington and great grandson, Torrey LeVar Davis, Jr.

MRS. FLORA L. POWELL JONES

Mrs. Flora L. Powell Jones was born on June 3, 1934 in Dou- glas, GA to the parentage of Martha L. Nelson and Dan Pow- ell. Flora was educated in the Hillsborough County Public school System. She later ob- tained her degree in Nursing and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was employed at Women’s Hospital, Memorial Hospital, a Nurse Stat and finally retired from Tampa General Hospital.
Before nursing, Flora worked at Old Falls as a Sales Lady in the men’s department at Mass Brothers.
After a car accident in 2010, Flora spent the remainder of her life caring for her children and also helping to raise her grand- children.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Martha Nelson and Dan Powell; stepfather, Thaddeus Nelson, Sr.; daughter, Linda Elaine Allen; son, Ronald B. Ephron; brother, Thaddeus Nelson, Jr.; sister, Ora Lee Car- penter; godmother, Lilly C. Bryant; godsister, Anita Howard and lifelong friend, Dorothy Wilder, all whom we believe will usher her into Heaven’s Gate.
Mrs. Jones leaves to cherish precious memories with: her de- voted son, Martis Bunton, Sr.; devoted daughter, Plakisia Wright and husband, Earnest, III; grandchildren, Martis Bun- ton, Jr., Zaria Sanders, Makayla Rainey, Tiffaney Brown, Martisia Bunton, Shemeka Warren, Arthur Fambro and Clinton Danzey; great- grandchildren, Atiyah Bunton, Martis Bunton III, Daijan Jones, Dre’ Kayla Magwood and Ja’kai Flowers; brother, Brian Nelson and wife, Myra; aunt, Mary Dunbar; 1 sis- ter-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, lifelong friends and other relatives and friends.
