   WILSON
SISTER CARRIE MENTHA GREENE
A Graveside Service will be held for Sister Carrie Mentha Greene on Saturday, October 24th, 2020 at 10 a. m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida, with Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Banks, officiat- ing.
Sister Carrie Mentha Greene was born on September 10, 1922. She was a native of Hillsborough County, daughter of Mr. Raymond and Julia Greene. She was the first of five siblings. Sister Greene attended the schools of Hillsborough County and was a resident of Tampa, Florida.
She worked in various jobs but, retired as a Head Start teacher after tenure of 18 years. Ms. Greene enjoyed working with pre-school children and getting them off to a great start in life. She accepted Christ at an early age, under the Pastor, the late Rev. J. B. Lake, First Baptist Church of W. Tampa.
In 1949, she joined St. John Progressive Missionary Baptist Church and was a member of the #1 Choir and the Pastor’s Aide Board. One of the most fa- vorite things Sister Greene loved to do, was to recite poems. Sister Carrie Mentha Greene went home to her Savior on October 18, 2020.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Raymond and Julia Greene; two sisters, Jen- nel Greene and Beatrice Tabor; son, Ronald Greene and grand- daughter, Misty Greene.
Sister Greene leaves to cher- ish memories with: one brother, James D. Greene of Hempstead, NY; one sister, Dorothy Sneed of Tampa, Florida; one granddaughter, Monica (Leon) Johnson; two great granddaughters, Brittany Goodloe Durham and Brianna Johnson; one great-great grandson, Roman Durham; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
There will be a viewing on Friday, October 23, 2020, at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida, from3–8p.m. Duetothecur- rent CDC restrictions, we are asking that you use the visita- tion as an opportunity to pay your final respects. For your convenience and safety, we have extended our visitation hours.

MRS. DELORIS WRIGHT
Mrs. Deloris Hammond Wright, 79, entered eternal rest on October 13, 2020 in Millen, Geor- gia.
The Tampa, Florida native graduated from Blake High School and Gibbs Junior College in Tampa. She continued her edu- cation, graduating from Delaware State College and University of Illinois, with a Master’s Degree in Psychology. She worked as a Counselor at Ben Eielson High School in Alaska and Delaware State College.
Mrs. Wright was active in so- cial and civic communities. She was a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, The Love and Charity Club of Cheyenne, Wyoming and The Jolly 12 Club of Millen, GA.
Survivors include her hus- band, Thomas Wright, Jr. (Millen, GA); two daughters: Shonna D. Wright (Cheyenne, WY) and Alethea D. Wright (Seattle, WA); brothers: Douglas Hammond of Austria, and Tyrone Hammond (Tampa, FL); sisters: Vivian and Marcia (Tampa, FL); a host of other loving family and friends.
Graveside services will be 1 p. m., Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Westside Cemetery (White Oak Road) – Millen, GA.

MS. UZEALA (SUE) FERRELL
A Celebration of Life will be held October 24, 2020, for Ms. Uzeala (Sue) Ferrell, of Tampa, who transitioned on October 5, 2020.
Pastor Jerry Couzens, of Breaking The Chains Outreach Ministries, officiating.
Sue was born January 11, 1961, in Donalsonville, GA, and moved to Tampa at an early age.
Sue enjoyed cooking deli- cious meals and serving them to family and friends, which began her ministry.
Sue was preceded in death by: her mother, Mrs. Mira Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Grady E. Fer- rell, III; 1 son, Rashard Clark (Toya); 1 stepson, Kerry Ferrell; 1 stepdaughter, Nekia Akwety; 2 sisters, Annie Brady and Shirley Williams; 1 brother, Charles Williams, Sr., (Lona); adored nephew, Charles Williams, III; 4 granddaugters, special sister-in- law, Shemecka Russ; special cousin, Patricia Stillings; god- mother, Gloria Graham Flournoy; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
