 ent of the Dean's List and re- ceived her certification of Leadership Development Class Level II and Life Coach- ing, at Manifest Theological Institute. Her Christian life was the center of her loving spirit and personality. Her influence will forever remain in those who knew her.
Wilma will be welcomed in Glory by her loved ones who went before her; parents, Spencer Tabb, Sr. and Annie Pettway Tabb; and five brothers, Elbert, Spencer, Willie, Edward, and Charles.
Mrs. Wilma Jean Weems leaves behind a loving and devoted husband, Willie Weems, Jr., who cherished and fought for her until the end. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished and re- membered in the lives of her children, Willie (Rochele) Weems, III, Wendolyn (Ho- Juand) Gladden, Wynetta Weems, Whittney (Der’ek) Irvin; grandchildren, Ed- ward Johnson, Jacquez Gib- son, Emani Johnson, Jocelyn Weems, Isaiah Bivens, Ariyah Bivens, Aaliyah Weems, Angeli Irvin, Khi- ante Chatman, Malik Goods, Nykhi Goods, Kianna Ross, Jalin Weems, Devin Weems, Christian Lock, Mekhi Weems; siblings, Ernest (Lil- lie) Tabb, Annie (Willie) Coleman, Angela (Chelon) Lewis, Wayne (Venita) Tabb, Calvin Tabb; godsister and godbrother, Mike and Patri- cia Williams; goddaughter, Tina (John) Aydelotte; aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and a host of dear friends and church family.

    MR. SLATER MAZION, JR. (‘SWEET BROWN SUGAR’)
A Memorial Service for Mr. Slater Mazion of Tampa, Florida, who departed this life on Monday, January 20, 2020, was held on Saturday, February 1, 2020, 12 p. m. at Rivers of Life Church, 301 Lakewood Drive, Brandon, FL 33510, Curtis A. Swafford, pastor, officiated.
Slater was born on Octo- ber 20, 1945 in Bradenton, Florida. Slater was a native of Bradenton, Florida and moved to Tampa, Florida, with family in the early ’70s where he worked as an iron worker all over the U. S.
Slater, nicknamed “Sweet Brown Sugar,” served his community as a coach and mentor in football, softball, baseball and Peewee to Big League Baseball. Slater spent his daily life helping many of his friends with whatever they needed done. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed planting flowers, vegetables, collards and hot peppers. He was known for his killer hot sauces and loved to barbeque and fish, outdoors was his domain.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Slater Mazion, Sr. and mother, Marie Mazion; brother, Don- nell Mazion and sister, Sh- eryl Mazion.
Slater leaves to be loved in his absence: wife, Dorothy Lee Silas Mazion; children, Sheldon, Slater, III, Sheila, Richard, Bridget D. and Rod- ney Mazion; sisters, Glorida J. Everhart, Lena G. Rober- son; Ann Mazion; 15 grand- children; 40 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors and R. O. L. Church family.

Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Wilma Jean Weems will be held on Friday, Feb- ruary 7, 2020, at 11 a. m. at Center for Manifestation, 3102 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida, with Apostle Mark T. Jones, Sr. Officiating. En- tombment will follow in Sun- set Memory Gardens, 11005 North U. S. Highway 301, Thonotosassa, Florida.
Mrs. Wilma Jean Weems, the daughter of Spencer Tabb, Sr. and Annie Pettway Tabb was born on June 22, 1957 in Selma, Alabama. She attended Selma Public School of Dallas County.
After graduating at the University of Alabama with her Bachelor’s Degree, she was offered a position at TECO in Tampa, Florida. She professed her faith and joined Mount Olive Mission- ary Baptist Church, where she met the love of her life, Willie Weems, Jr.
In 2000, she played an in- tegral part and was an in- strumental pillar behind the scenes in the foundation of the beginning of the Center for Manifestation. She re- tired from TECO (Tampa Electric Company) after 30 years of employment in 2009, where she devoted the rest of her time doing what she loved most: spending time with her family.
She continued her educa- tion to get her Master's De- gree at University of Phoenix.
