Jameis Winston Ranked 17th-Best Quarterback In NFL
Kellen Winslow, II Pleads Not Guilty To Host Of Crimes, Remains Jailed
KELLEN WINSLOW, II
The NFL regular season cannot begin until every player and team has been ex- haustively ranked, quarter- backs especially.
Sporting News ranked quarterbacks heading into the 2018 and placed Tampa Bay Buccaneers signal-caller Jameis Winston 17th, cit- ing his apparently lack of ac- complishments, namely wins and numbers.
Some of the quarterbacks ranked ahead of Winston in- clude Jared Goff, Dak Prescott and Tyrod Tay- lor. Winston finished with a better completion percentage and averaged more yards per game than all three. Win- ston was also saddled with the league’s worst defense and

Cleveland Browns offen- sive tackle Donald Stephenson will be sus- pended without pay for the first two games of the 2018 season, the NFL announced Friday.
Stephenson was sus- pended for violating the league's substance abuse pol- icy. He will miss games at home against Pittsburgh and at New Orleans. He can par- ticipate in all offseason and preseason practices and games.
Stephenson was not in attendance at the team's minicamp this week, and coach Hue Jackson said Stephenson would be fined for his absence.

the sixth-worst rush offense. Wins are a suboptimal measure of actual quarter- back progress as it should be clear that Winston has im- proved and led a top-five
passing attack last year. Rather it appears the rest of the Tampa Bay squad needs to catch up for Winston to get the appropriate level of recognition.
Kawhi Leonard Wants To Leave San Antonio, Eyes Los Angeles Or Cleveland
KAWHI LEONARD
All-Star forward Kawhi Leonard wants out of San Antonio.
Leonard has Los Angeles -- preferably the Lakers -- at the center of his preferences for a trade destination, league sources said. According to sources, Leonard has grown frustrated with how the organ- ization handled his quad in- jury and feels the franchise turned on him once he sought a second opinion.
A source with the Spurs stated that Leonard hasn't asked them for a trade.
If Leonard does become available in trade talks, the Boston Celtics and Cleveland will be interested in probing the Spurs about a deal. Boston inquired about a trade before the February deadline.
Leonard is eligible to re- ceive a five-year, $219 million contract extension from the Spurs this summer. He can opt out of his current deal after next season and become a free agent in July 2019.
Former NFL tight end Kellen Winslow, II was jailed without bail Friday after pleading not guilty to multiple counts of kidnap- ping, rape and other charges.
The 34-year-old Winslow was ordered to re- turn to San Diego County Superior Court on June 25 for a preliminary hearing.
If convicted, Winslow could face a maximum sen- tence of life in prison.
His attorney, Brian Watkins, did not immedi-
ately respond to a message left at his office.
Prosecutors say Winslow began a crime spree last March that in- cluded rapes, kidnappings, indecent exposure and bur- glary and continued until just before his arrest this week.
According to charging documents, he allegedly kid- napped and raped a 54-year- old woman on March 13 and then a 59-year-old woman on May 13.

practices open to the media. Stephenson played in Kansas City from 2012 through 2015, then in Den- ver the past two seasons. In March, he signed a one-year, $2.5 million deal to join the
Browns.
Stephenson has started
37 games in his five NFL sea- sons. His role with the Browns remains to be deter- mined, though he can play both tackle spots.
Hickson Charged With
Armed Robbery
Former NBA player J.J. Hickson is being held with- out bail in the Coweta County (Georgia) Jail on a charge of armed robbery with a knife, according to online records.
He was arrested Friday and currently is awaiting trial.
Coweta County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jimmy Yarbrough told multiple media outlets that the arrest took place in con- nection with a home invasion in Senoia, Georgia. Yarbrough said that several items were allegedly taken and a person was attacked. Although at least two people were involved with the al- leged home invasion, only Hickson was charged, Yarbrough said.
