FAMILY NOTICE
MR. HEZEKIAH FORD, III
A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Hezekiah Ford, III, will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 11 a. m. at St. James Primitive Baptist Church, 904 SE 4th St., Mulberry, FL 33860. The wake will be Friday, March 8th, 5-7 p. m., at the church.
Hezekiah Ford, III, was born on August 10, 1967, to the late Hezekiah Ford, Jr. and Sarah Dempsey.
He was a very intelligent young man, who received sev- eral academic awards through- out his educational years. He excelled in Mathematics and Physics. He completed his Bach- elor’s Degree in Mathematics from FAMU, and his Master’s Degree in Mathematics from Florida State University. He went on to pursue his Doctorate Degree at the University of North Michigan.
He mainly worked as an edu- cator, teaching Math at FAMU, FAMU High School, Florida State, and during the summer in the MITE Program for minority students. He taught school in 5 different states: Florida, Texas, Tennessee, Michigan and Con- necticut.
He loved his family and ded- icated a lot of his time studying and relaying family history and relationships. He also loved to travel and would just pop up at any time to a family event or just because. He loved to cook and never passed up a good piece of cake.
Hezekiah departed this life and entered his eternal home on February 21, 2019.
He leaves to cherish loving and fond memories: his sisters, Leslie Ann Ford, Donna Maria Ford, and the late Ann Maria Ford (Dara Ford); brothers, Kenny Ford and Anthony Paul; nephews, Gerald Duffey, Jr. (Jennifer), and Gregory Abrams, Jr. (Laurie); nieces, Maria Dor- ceius (Winsly) and Kamauri Ellis and Kyah Kennedy Ford; great- nephew, Brodie Duffey; god- mother, Delores Hansberry; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family, friends and students, who all loved him dearly.
Service entrusted to Williams Funeral Home.
