Ja Rule Joins Protest Against Public Housing Conditions In NYC
Ja Rule recently joined hun- dreds of New York City resi- dents in a protest at City Hall on Feb. 20.
The protest was reportedly organized in objection to the poor conditions of the city’s public housing system.
According to Ja Rule and various other speakers during the protest, thousands of resi- dents in the public housing sys- tem have spent the winter without hot water or heat.
“They should all be ashamed of themselves,” Ja Rule said in a video taken at the event.

The rapper, who hails from
Queens, said this particular issue hits home for him due to the fact that he was also brought up in the public hous- ing system.
Sade Makes Comeback With New Song For ‘Wrinkle In Time’ Movie
Sade has not recorded since 2010. However she has written an original song for Ava DuVernay directed movie, ‘A Wrinkle In Time’.
The forever elusive soul- ful chanteuse Sade is mak- ing a highly-anticipated comeback in a major way. The Nigerian-born U. K. bred singer is featured on the soundtrack for Ava DuVer- nay’s film adaption of A Wrinkle In Time.
Sade’s new song is re- portedly titled “Flower of the Universe.”
DuVernay made the an- nouncement late Tuesday morning (Feb. 20) via Twit-
ter, writing: “I never thought she’d say yes, but asked any- way. She was kind + giving. A goddess. We began a journey together that I’ll never forget. Proud to announce that Sade has created an original song for WRINKLE IN TIME. It’s entitled ‘Flower of the Universe.’ And it’s a dream come true.”
Sade’s last studio album, Soldier of Love was released in 2010. Since then, little is known of her whereabouts
though she was spotted last year at one of Drake’s shows in London, Harper’s Bazaar reports.
A Wrinkle In Time has a star-studded cast including the likes of Reese Wither- spoon, Oprah Winfrey, and Mindy Kaling. In addi- tion to Sade, its soundtrack will also include music from Kehlani, Chloe X Halle, Demi Lovato and Sia.
The film is set to hit the- aters on March 9.
Kendrick Lamar Says Newest Shoes Collection Was Inspired By Teenagers
Kendrick Lamar has compared the creation of his latest Nike sneaker line with the process he follows when making music.
The 30-year-old hosted an NBA All-Star Weekend event in Downtown Los Angeles on Sat- urday, where he unveiled his recent Nike collaboration, the Kendrick Lamar x Nike Cortez Kenny II collection.
When asked how designing footwear compares to crafting hit songs like "Humble," the rapper divulged that he viewed the two as similar processes.
“It’s almost like the same process for me... a lot of detail," Kendrick shared at the sports gathering, reports Billboard. "I like to have every little nick and nack counter or apart from each other, so people can ap- preciate that.”

A man who falsely claimed to represent Migos to scam several colleges out of tens of thousands of dollars, has been caught by the Depart- ment of Justice.
Octaveon Woods was indicted for wire fraud and money laundering after he allegedly robbed $37,500 from Emory University. The 26-year-old claims his com- pany Global Talent Agency represented a number of top rappers, including Migos, Lil Uzi, Lil Yachty and others.
