WASHINGTON
MR. JOHN BOLTON
Mr. John Bolton of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Sun- day, December 1, 2019. Funeral Services will be held on Satur- day, December 7, 2019, at Beu- lah Baptist Institutional Church, 1006 W. Cypress St., Tampa, FL 33606. The Wake Service will begin at 10 a. m., and the funeral service will be at 11 a. m.
John Bolton was born on February 9, 1927, in Columbus, GA, to First Sgt. Elco, Sr. and Flora Bolton. He was the second oldest of five siblings, three of which preceded him in death.
He received his education in the public schools of Columbus, GA. He was a dedicated hard worker for 15 years at W. T. Ed- wards Center. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Institutional Church. John was loved and well-respected in the commu- nity amongst family and friends.
John was preceded in death by: his father, Elco Bolton, Sr., and mother, Flora Bolton; wife, Elizabeth Bolton; sisters, Louise Bolton, Earline B. Person, and Doris Bolton Washington Lloyd; nephews, Samuel D. Bolton and Terry L. Bolton.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving brother, Elco Bolton, Jr; a special, de- voted niece, Glenitha E. Bolton; nephews, Anthony R. Washing- ton, Jr., Funeral Director (Carol), Marvin Person (Debo- rah), Reginald Bolton and Dar- rick Person; nieces, Karen Bolton Johnson and Deltricia Person Wiggins; a special de- voted grand nephew, Roshad M. Cade; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and friends that will truly miss him and carry him forever in their hearts.

MR. OTIS RONNIE ANTHONY, JR.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Otis Ronnie Anthony, Jr., will be held on Sunday, December 08, 2019, at 2 p. m. at Howard W. Blake High School Theater, lo- cated at 1701 North Boulevard, Tampa, Florida 33607, with Rod Carter, Program Officiant and Warren Hope Dawson, Esq, Eu- logist.
Mr. Otis Ronnie Anthony, Jr., also known as “Otis Cool,” was born August 7, 1951 to the union of Otis and Bernice An- thony. He attended Hillsbor- ough County schools and was a graduate of Howard W. Blake High School, Class of 1969.
He completed his college ed- ucation at the University of South Florida and his post grad- uate education at Bucknell Uni- versity.
Otis was a loving father and family man and shared a special bond with many people. During Otis’ lifetime he was able to in- spire both young and old through speeches and rhythmic poetry. When he walked into a room the whole room would light up and by speaking, he could unify, energize, and mag- netize a crowd. He was a bright and shining star when onstage and in life.
Mr. Anthony was a man of in- tegrity who had a deep love and respect for the Tampa Bay com-
munity. He was a knowledgeable and fearless leader and was de- scribed by many as a “visionary and advocatefor change.”
Mr. Anthony was preceded in death by: his parents, Otis and Bernice Anthony; his sisters, Melvina Moore, Priscilla An- thony and Adine Williams.
Many are left behind to cher- ish his memory: an adoring daughter, Ashaki Anthony; car- ing sisters, Delores Hardy (Lind- say), Cynthia Anthony and Bernadine Anthony; devoted brothers, Bernard Anthony, Sr., and Wayne Anthony; nieces, Fonteshe Anthony, Latrecia Davis, Koshiana Miller, and Ash- ley Anthony; nephews, Frankie Williams, Kundre Mitchell, Taquawn Anthony, Karea An- thony, Keion Mitchell, Hakeem Ali (Michelle), Karthartis Neal (Barbara), Terrence Davis (Kim), Horace Drew, Darryl Drew, Keith Drew, Darrawn Wilson, John Polite, Vorian Po- lite, Emon Edgecomb, and Bernard Anthony, Jr.; and, a host of nieces, nephews, close friends, warriors and associates.

MRS. RUBY MCDOWELL
Mrs. Ruby McDowell passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019. A Celebration of Life will be conducted Saturday, Decem- ber 7, 2019 at 11 a. m. at Victory A. M. E. Church Progress Village, 5202 S. 86th Street, Tampa FL 33619, Rev. Michael B. Price, I, Pastor with Rev. Anthony W. Greene of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, Officiating. In- terment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa Florida.
Mrs. McDowell was born in Pamplico, South Carolina to the parentage of Hannibal and Zelma Gainey on November 7, 1932. After moving to Tampa, she attended Hillsborough County Public Schools, graduating from Middleton High School in 1950.
Mrs. McDowell retired in 2007 after working for over 40 years for Walter and Sally Bald- win. She was the owner of Neigh- borhood Thrift Store that was located on E. Hillsborough Ave. Ruby was also a caterer for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gar- dens, Reverend Anthony W. Greene, Pastor.
Mrs. McDowell spent the last year of her life at Twin Creeks As- sisted Living & Memory Care Fa- cility, Riverview FL. She found comfort in the presence of fam- ily, friends, and her continual care team at Twin Creeks.
Ruby was preceded in death by: her parents, Hannibal and Zelma Gainey; daughter, Robyn Preston; sister, Laura Thomas; brothers-in-law, Charles Thomas, Robert Miller and Bernard Benton.
Left to cherish Ruby’s beloved memories are: her hus- band, James McDowell, Sr.; two daughters, Constance L. Hill and Audrey Harris (Jonas); son, Clarence L. Preston Jr.; grand- daughters, Maya Hill Henderson (Kevin), Zena Harris, and Erica Hill; grandsons, Clark Preston, Pierre Preston, and Kevin Grif- fin; three great granddaughters; four sisters, Virgie Anglin (Billy), Carolyn Miller, Katie Booher, Houston, TX, and Bridget Ben- ton; two brothers, William Gainey (Thelma) and Dennis Gainey (Rose), Houston, TX and a host of relatives and friends.
There will be a viewing at Wil- son Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street on Friday, December 6, 2019, from 5-8 p. m. The family will be present to receive friends from 6-7 p. m.
Please assemble at the church, on Saturday at approxi- mately 10:45 a. m.

SISTER DAISY MAE PONDER TAYLOR
Homegoing Celebration for Sister Daisy Mae Ponder Taylor who went home to her Savior on December 2, 2019, will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 10 a. m. at St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, 3708 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida , with the Rev. W. D. Sims, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Sister Daisy Mae Ponder Taylor was born March 18, 1936 in Macon, GA to the parentage of Brother Willie and Sister Mamie Lee Ponder. She was one of seven children born to that union. She was educated in the School District of Macon County.
She became a servant for the Lord at an early age, begin- ning as a member of St. John M. B. Church in Macon. When she moved to Barton, FL in 1960, she joined St. John M. B. Church, where she continued to work for the Lord. Sister Taylor met and married Brother T. C. Taylor in 1969 and remained on her Christian journey by becoming a devoted member of St. Matthew. She had a passion for singing and sang in various choirs until her health failed and she could no longer attend church as she de- sired.
Sister Taylor was employed for many years as a caregiver, working in several capacities, such as, a midwife, elderly care, and other duties. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and friends, meeting and talking with people and singing.
She was preceded in death by: parents, Brother Willie and Sister Mamie Lee Ponder; hus- band, Brother T. C. Taylor; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Jean Dukes; 3 brothers and sister, Louise Tucker.
She leaves behind to cher- ish loving memories of her with: son, Richard Dukes, Sr.; grandchildren, Keisha (Jerry) McDonald, Seneca Dukes, Shanice White, and Richard (Precious) Dukes, Jr.; great- grandchildren, Jaylinda Kearse, Joel Kearse, Reshard Dykes, Jalila Dukes, Tony Jamercus (BB) White, Rashad Dukes, Rhiazia Dukes and Rylan Dukes; sisters, Mary Boston, and Annie Ruth Danzey, and her children, Diane, Alford, Darrel, Anthony; a dear friend, Mary Taylor; stepchildren Linda Perry, Wil- lene Taylor, Phyllis Jackson; Willie C. (Debora) Taylor and Earl Taylor; like a daughter, Ju- dith Hill and family; special friend, John Wilson, and a host of several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
There will be a viewing on Friday, December 6, 2019, at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida, from 5 – 8 p. m.

Our mother, Fredessa M. Lamar, “Tracy,” has transitioned, but left a legacy of love. We rejoice knowing she’s with her father (God) and our forever angel.
As we laid her to rest on 11/16/2019, we were accompanied by family, close friends, co-workers, and her church family (Heritage Christian Community Baptist Church).
We’d like to extend our sincere gratitude for all of the love ex- pressed through words, flowers, food and your presence as we cel- ebrated her life here on earth. Though our hearts are extremely heavy, we can’t thank you enough for your generous support.
A special thank you to Rogena for providing such great sup- port and care of us during this time of grief.
