Is Cavaliers-Warriors Round 3 The Most Star-Studded NBA Finals Ever?
Tiger Woods Apologizes For DUI Arrest, Says Alcohol Was Not Involved
For only the third time, the NBA Finals will feature seven players who made the All- Star team in the same season.
The NBA's top three play- ers were: LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant. A tier or two below were: Draymond Green (14th), Kyrie Irving (15th) and Klay Thompson (16th) clustered closely together with Kevin Love (28th) not far behind them.
All seven made the All-Star team and with the seemingly inevitable rubber match now officially set, it raises the
LEBRON JAMES AND STEPH CURRY
question: Is this the most star-studded Finals matchup in NBA history? It could be.
The Sentinel pick: Cav- aliers in 7.
Tiger Woods grabbed headlines Monday morning for a DUI arrest near his home in Jupiter, Fla. On Monday evening, the 14-time major champion addressed the incident.
In a statement sent to sev- eral reporters including Golf Digest's Tim Rosaforte, Woods apologized and took "full responsibility" for the arrest. However, he said "al- cohol was not involved" and that the charges stemmed from "an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications." Here's Woods' full state- ment:
"I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions.
I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unex- pected reaction to prescribed

medications. I didn’t realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly.
I would like to apologize with all my heart to my fam- ily, friends and the fans. I ex- pect more from myself too.
I will do everything in my power to ensure this never happens again.
I fully cooperated with law enforcement, and I would like to personally thank the representatives of the Jupiter Police Department and the
Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office for their professional- ism.”
Woods was pulled over at about 3 a.m. on Monday. According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office web- site, Woods was booked at 7:18 a.m. Monday morning and released from custody at 10:50 a.m.
More information—in- cluding possible dashcam footage—is expected to be re- leased by authorities on Tues- day, according to Rosaforte.
Just last week, Woods wrote on his website that he hasn't "felt this good in years." He is currently recov- ering from a fourth back sur- gery in late April that he said will keep him away from competitive golf through at least the end of the 2016-'17 PGA Tour season.
Kevin Durant's Special Shoe Only For Sale While He Was On Court For Game 1
Fans of Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant bought the shoe he wore for Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday, but only when he was on the court.
Consumers were able to buy the white version of the KDX "Still KD" shoe -- which Durant will be wearing for the first time during Game 1 - - on Nike's SNKRS app as soon as the game tipped off in Oakland at 9 p.m. ET. Sales were halted when Du- rant was subbed out of the
game, when a timeout is called and during halftime.
Sales were also stopped when the game ends or when the shoes sell out.
NY Giant Owner Gives Double Standard Answer About QB Colin Kaepernick Being Blackballed
LeBron James' L. A.
New York Giants owner John Mara didn’t pussy- foot around the issue of Colin Kaepernick being blackballed by the majority of NFL teams. He came right out and said that Kaep’s protest was exactly the rea- son that he wasn’t given a look.
Mara just gave the en- tire world a peek into the minds of the overwhelming majority of NFL owners.
And now we know why Colin Kaepernick’s career is all but over, unless the Seattle Seahawks, his last potential suitor, sign him later on this offseason.
“All my years being in the league, I never received more emotional mail from people than I did about that issue,” says Giants co-owner John Mara, who for 24 years has worked for the team his family founded. “If any of your players ever do that, we are never coming to another Giants game. It was- n’t one or two letters. It was a lot. It’s an emotional, emo- tional issue for a lot of peo- ple, moreso than any other issue I’ve run into.”
Really, ANY other issue? Here’s the problem. We find it very hard to believe that Mara didn’t receive any “emotional mail” when it was discovered that he and his team offered $4 million
to kicker, Josh Brown AFTER they knew that he was being investigated for domestic violence against his wife according to ESPN.
Moral of the story is: When it comes to the New York Giants, kneeling get you no dough, but abusing your wife will get you $4 million.
Home Vandalized
JOHN MARA AND COLIN KAEPERNICK
With Racist Graffiti
The Los Angeles home of Cleveland Cavaliers superstar forward LeBron James was found with racist graffiti on the front gate Wednesday morning.
Los Angeles Police Depart- ment Officer Aareon Jeffer- son told CNN they received a call Wednesday morning mak- ing them aware that the n- word was painted on the gate of James' home. Jefferson said by the time police arrived, the slur had been painted over.
James was not home at the time and Jefferson told CNN the police are still investigat- ing the incident and cannot say if the home was burglar- ized.
Last July, James was joined by longtime friends and fellow NBA stars Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul and Dwyane Wade on the ESPYs stage to make a statement about social activism and race relations. ESPN.com passed along his comments about
LEBRON JAMES
athletes using their power to create positive change.
"Tonight we're honoring Muhammad Ali, the GOAT," James said. "But to do his legacy any justice, let's use this moment as a call to action to all professional ath- letes to educate ourselves, ex- plore these issues, speak up, use our influence and re- nounce all violence and, most importantly, go back to our communities, invest our time, our resources, help rebuild them, help strengthen them, help change them. We all have to do better."
