MRS. BRENDA FAYE RHETT KELLEY
A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Brenda Faye Rhett Kel- ley, who passed on August 21, 2019, will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 2 p. m. at New Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 3325 E. Emma Street, Tampa, Florida, with Rev. Ronnie Murray, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida.
Brenda Faye Rhett-Kelley was born on November 10, 1955 in Tampa, Florida to the parentage of Odie C. Donald, Sr. and Mamie L. Donald. She was educated in Hillsborough County Schools and received her GED in 1995.
She joined Greater Friendship M. B. Church at the age of 10 years old, under the leadership of Rev. Madison Murray, Sr. After many years of travel as a military spouse, Brenda returned home and re-connected with Greater Friendship M. B. Church with her beloved Pastor, Rev. Madison Murray, Sr., and she also served in the Kitchen Ministry.
Benda was the family’s first entrepreneur as a Nail and Pedi- cure Spa Salon Owner. She had a niche and a passion for helping others that struggled within them- selves. In 1995, Brenda was em- ployed with Hillsborough County Schools at Foster Elementary as a Teacher’s Aide. She later worked for Grace Point Mental Health Center.
Brenda was preceded in death by: her parents, Odie C. and Mamie L. Donald; brothers, Odie C. Donald, Jr., John Thomas (JT) Wilson, Wade (Po-Boy) Wilson, Sr.; and sister, Tommie Jean Don- ald.
She leaves to cherish loving memories with: her two children, Jeremiah and Addison Rhett and their father, Jerry Rhett; two sis- ters, Rosa Mitcham and Tina Davis; four grandchildren, Jere- milah Rhett, Brenda Faye Rhett, Aliza Rhett and Jalisa Rhett; god- children, Quinecia Fesser, Ryan Miles Elliott, John Lewis Elliott, Johnna Elliott and Brenda Faye Frazier; one uncle, Albert Wilson and wife, Retha; oldest cousin, Beatrice Teal, San Antonio, TX; devoted nieces and nephews Quinecia Fesser, Bridgette Elliott, Tia Jordan, Advondra (Van) Smith, Vanessa Booth, Brandis Finley, Shannella Fesser, Terne- cia Fesser, Donald Fesser, Quintin Fesser; special friends, Annie Mae Blake, Mary Davis, Ameera Rene and Ms. Ella Mosley; and a host of nieces, nephews and other sor- rowing relatives and friends.
There will be a viewing on Fri- day, August 30, 2019, at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, from 5 – 8 p. m., with the family present from 6-7 p. m.
Friends are asked to assemble at the church on Saturday at ap- proximately 1:45 p. m.
