HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEMORIAM
MARION JONES October 29
Instead of a card, we send all of our love; Instead of a gift and prayer —-
To the one we thought the whole world of and miss way beyond compare.
You are the kind of person who left lovely memories be- hind —-
And special days like your birthday bring many fond memories to mind. And memories are possessions that time can never destroy –
For it is in happy remembrance the heart finds its greatest joy.
Happy Birthday, from your family.
SISTER DELORES HILLS
The Memorial Service for Sister Delores (Nana) Hills, will be held on Saturday, No- vember 2, 2019, at Brown Memorial Church Of God In Christ (Annex), 2313 E. 27th Avenue, at 11 a.m.
Sister Delores Hills was born to Willie Lee and Rosa Brown on May 11, 1954. She joined the church at an early age and was Baptized.
She leaves to cherish her memory: a devoted sons, Mr. Sylvester Hills, Moses Reddin; daughter, Cynthia Hills; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grands; 2 sisters, Mrs. Joyce Graham and Willie, and Ms. Dorothy Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other rela- tives.
A Clearwater man is fac- ing several charges after he attacked a police officer Sat- urday.
According to police, late Saturday afternoon, 25-year- old Robert Joseph Phillips was on Island Es- tates when a resident con- tacted police about a suspicious person.
Phillips was walking along a sea wall behind some condominiums and tampering with multiple items of private property there.
When he was approached by the officer, Phillips resis- ted arrest and reached for the officer’s gun as the two tumbled to the ground. Phillips punched the officer in the face multiple times as the officer main- tained control of his weapon. The suspect then fled but was caught in the area by other officers. The officer was taken to Mor- ton Plant Hospital, where he was treated and later re- leased.
ROBERT PHILLIPS
After Phillips was taken to the police station, he caused hundreds of dollars of damage to an interview room.
He eventually was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on multiple charges: two counts of criminal mis- chief, resisting arrest with vi- olence, battery on a law enforcement officer, de- priving an officer means of protection/communication, resisting arrest without vio- lence, possession of paraphernalia and posses- sion of cocaine.
