Warnock said goals of the conference include help- ing communities to fight the rise of the prison industrial complex in the United States and systems that unfairly im- prison people of color.

Actor Cuba Gooding, Jr. has kept his word and turned himself in to New York City police earlier today around 11:00 a.m. EST to answer questions around accusations that he groped a woman at a bar in Manhattan this past weekend. The actor has been charged with a misdemeanor count of forcible touching.
According to TheWrap, a 29-year old woman filed a complaint with police saying that Gooding, Jr. grabbed her breast while intoxicated at the Magic Hour Rooftop Bar located on top of the Moxy Hotel just shy of Times Square. The woman appar- ently stood up for herself, ar- gued with Gooding, Jr. about his alleged inability to keep his hands to himself and when he brushed her off, she

aren’t saying much, but the actor spoke with TMZ on Wednesday to declare his in- nocence. He believes there is evidence that will back his ac- count of what really went down Sunday night.
“There’s a tape that shows what really happened,” Good- ing, Jr. said. “I believe in the system and let the process speak for itself.”
This isn’t the first time Gooding, Jr. has been called out for questionable behavior. In 2012, a bartender in New Orleans claimed the actor pushed her when she asked him to leave her establish- ment. Although an arrest war- rant was issued, she refused to press charges.
“I trust the system and will let the process speak for itself,” Gooding told TMZ.

Parents , Dravon Ames, 22, and his pregnant fiancee, Aisha Harper, said they were completely unaware that their 4-year-old daughter had taken a doll from the store, but that officers responded by pointing guns and yelling ob- scenities at them and their two young daughters. A viral video released on Friday back up their claims and show the har- rowing encounter that has many calling for the officers to be fired.
The family has responded to the incident by filing a $10 million claim against the city- accusing the police of battery, unlawful imprisonment, false arrest, and infliction of emo- tional distress. The couple also maintain cops violated their civil rights.
The Roc Nation team reached out to the family to offer legal support, request ter- mination of the police officers involved in the incident and “ensure the well-being of the children,” said Didier Morais, a PR spokesperson

Rapper Meek Mill's legal team has blocked recent legal efforts to stop his documen- tary #freeMeek from moving forward.
A prominent Philadelphia lawyer lost his lawsuit against Amazon and Roc Nation over an alleged illegal recording of comments he made about his client, who just so happens to be the judge at the center of rapper Meek Mill’s probation violation case.
On Wednesday, U. S. Dis- trict Judge Gerald McHugh dismissed attorney A. Charles Peruto Jr.’s actions against producers of a forth- coming documentary series ti- tled#FreeMeek, alleging they violated the Pennsylvania and
Federal Wiretap Acts. Peruto was also seeking the return of the audio files, but the federal judge shot him down, The Hol- lywood Reporter reports.
The case stems from the #FreeMeek project, which chronicles the hip-hop star’s rise to fame and his 10-year battle with the Philadelphia justice system. Peruto repre- sented Judge Genece Brinkley, who infamously sent Meek Mill to prison on multiple occasions for proba- tion violations. For that rea- son, the filmmakers interviewed Peruto in May 2018, during which he made statements about the issue that he believed were off the record and not being recording.

cident and posted a clip on so- cial media. In their clip, police are heard screaming: ‘Put your f****** hands up or I’ll put a f****** cap in your head.’
Morais said Jay Z’s team is offering up high-profile at- torney Alex Spiro pro bono to join the family’s legal team and that the attorney will file papers in the court against one of the officers for child neglect.
In a statement, Roc Nation Managing Director of Philan- thropy Dania Diaz called the incident “absolutely sicken- ing.”
“There is no place for that behavior in our world – let alone our justice system – and we are calling for the immedi- ate termination of the police officers in question,” Diaz said in the statement, according to AZ Central. “We are commit- ted to supporting the family to ensure that justice is served.”
