Tiffany Haddish Cancels Atlanta Show Over Abortion Law
Actress and comedian Tiffany Haddish has can- celed her upcoming Atlanta performance because of Geor- gia’s new restrictive abortion law.
News outlets report that the “Girls Trip” star sent a state- ment to ticketholders Saturday, saying she cannot “in good faith” perform in Georgia un- less it withdraws the so-called heartbeat bill. Haddish had been scheduled to perform June 22 at the Fox Theatre.
The new law would ban abortion once a fetal heartbeat is detected, which can be as early as six weeks, before many women know they are preg- nant. Unless it’s blocked in court, it’s set to go into effect in 2020. The ACLU has already

Major Hollywood studios have said they may reevaluate filming in Georgia if the law goes into effect.
Will Smith And Nas Invest In App Promoting Financial Literacy For Teenagers
Will Smith and Nas are two of the big names who are reportedly investing in a new financial literacy app geared at teenagers.
Step is reportedly Apple- Pay integrated, and aims to promote the importance of setting financial limits and providing guidelines so that young people can learn more about saving.
“Schools don’t teach kids about money,” Step co- founder and CEO CJ Mac- Donald said of the app. “We want to be their first bank ac- counts with spending cards, but we also want to teach fi- nancial literacy and respon- sibility. responsible with money in the cashless era.”
Per Techcrunch, the app itself enables teens to access bank accounts that do not come with a minimum bal- ance or fees, and provides tips on how to manage money. It is led by Stripe, and saw backing from Will Smith’s Dreamers fund and Nas, raising just under $30
million in funding.
“To that end, Step has
been marketing directly to its future users, doing viral things like incentivizing sign- ups by giving users a dollar towards their bank accounts (when they come online) for each person that gets re- ferred and also signs up using a person’s code,” writes Techcrunch.

MTV has dug into their archives with good reason. The network announced Thursday (June 13) Jodie, the first spin- off series from the cult classic Daria.
