MR. RAY CURTIS, JR.
Mr. Ray Donald Curtis, Jr. passed away on Sunday, June 9th, 2019. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 20th at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida 33605. The burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave., Bushnell, FL 33513, with Military Honors con- ducted by the McDill Air Force.
Ray was very intelligent, am- bitious and determined. He was an awesome father and husband who loved his wife, children and career. He was a person of great integrity who had the courage of his convictions.
Ray was born September 2, 1985 in Ancon, Panama, to par- ents Ray Donald Curtis, Sr. and Deborah Randall. Ray attended schools in Hillsborough County and graduated from East Bay Senior High School in 2004. Shortly after graduation, Ray en- tered the United States Air Force, where he faithfully served and traveled the world for 11 years. In 2015, Ray met his wife, Melanie Peeples, it was love at first sight.
He separated from the mili- tary to start a family and they married on August 18, 2017. After their marriage, the couple made their home in Lakeland, Florida. Ray enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved entertaining his chil- dren, family events, fishing, and hunting whenever he had the time. Ray was also a remarkable grillmaster and enjoyed prepar- ing meals for his family and friends, most especially over the holidays. He was a beautiful per- son with a contagious smile that could light up any room.
Ray is survived by: his wife, Melanie Curtis; 5 beautiful chil- dren, Elijah, Ryan, Tristan, Tariel, And Ramello; parents, Ray Donald Curtis, Sr. (Kayt- rina) and Deborah Randall (Jef- fery); two brothers, Ramon Curtis (Zenika) and Reginald Curtis; four sisters, Chanice Mack, Britany Randall, Kayn- neka Smith (Ernst), Natalie Sharp; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
There will be a viewing on Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home (1 hour prior to the serv- ice) 10 – 11 a. m. Friends are asked to assemble at the chapel.

A Celebration of Love and Life Service for Ms. Thelma L. Durham of Tampa, Florida, who departed this life on Friday, June 14, 2019, will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at 12 noon at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida, with a local Pas- tor officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL 33605.
Ms. Thelma L. Durham was born in Tampa, Florida on June 5, 1922. She was a longtime res- ident of Tampa and a former X- Ray Technician at Harlem Hospital in New York City, New York and a member of the Church of Christ for more than 70 years.
She was preceded in death by: her mother, Romalia James and her son, Harvey Durham.
Those who remain to cele- brate her life and carry on her legacy are: her grandsons, Har- vey Brandon Durham and Marc Q. Durham; great grandchil- dren, Caydon and Kyra Durham; caregivers/cousins, Dorotha Sutton and Linda Taylor Hunter; other relatives, including the Pope, Montana, Dorsey, Sledge families and other relatives and friends.
There will be a viewing on Wednesday (1 hour prior to the service) from 11 a. m. to
12 noon at the chapel.

BROTHER, LAWRENCE ALLAN FRYE
Homegoing Celebration for Brother Lawrence Allan Frye, whose sunset was on June 6, 2019, will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019, at 11 a. m. at Vic- tory Tabernacle Pentecostal Church, 4704 Kelly Road, Tampa, Florida, with Rev. Jason Crowe, officiating. Inter- ment will follow at Florida Na- tional Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. Military Honors will be conducted by MacDill Air Force Honor Guards.
Brother Lawrence Frye was born and raised in Coatesville, Pennsylvania on October 3, 1926. He attended public school and college in Pennsyl- vania. Later he further his ca- reer goals and completed college education during his military service with a Physical Education major. He served proudly as a dedicated Military Veteran for twenty years in the United States Air Force.
After retiring from the Air Force he continued his interest in Physical Education/ sports working with as Youth Guid- ance Counselor, an expert in Martial Arts, physical fitness trainer/instructor and tennis player during his employment with the State Department of Juvenile Affairs.
Brother Frye made a firm commitment to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and joined Calvary Tab- ernacle Pentecostal Church. He later moved his membership to Victory Tabernacle Pentecostal Church with a desire to con- tinue serving the Lord, study- ing the Word with praise and worship. Brother Frye loved to share the gospel with others.
Brother Lawrence Frye leaves to cherish memories of him with: sister-law, Jura (Allen) Kilpatrick; brother-in- law, Pickins Tillman; 3 nephews, Reade A. Hamilton, George (Mary) Taylor, Rev. and Mrs. Robert D. Taylor; 2 nieces, Barbara Taylor and Gloria M. Noel; a host of cousins, other family members and friends.
There will be a viewing on Thursday June 20, 2019 from 5 – 7 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street. Friends are asked to assemble at the church on Friday at ap- proximately 10:45 a. m. for the service.

An unidentified woman was admitted to a local hos- pital in critical condition. She was shot while a passen- ger in a vehicle early Mon- day.
According to the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice, deputies responded to the Walgreens, 128 E. Bran- don Blvd., in reference to a shooting. When deputies ar- rived, they learned that a woman had been shot.
The woman was trans- ported to a local hospital, where she was listed in “very critical condition,” police said.
During the investigation,
detectives learned that the woman was a passenger in- side a vehicle. The shooting took place at the intersection of Kingsway Road and East Clay Avenue, a mile from the Walgreens.
Police believe that the ve- hicle the woman was travel- ing in was targeted. No one else in the vehicle was in- jured.
The investigation is con- tinuing.
