        Drugs Causing Death
A 28-year-old woman has been indicted for conspiring to distribute a drug that caused the death of another individual. She is facing a minimum mandatory sen- tenced of at least 20 years in prison.
According to the indict- ment and information pre- sented in court, beginning on an unknown date, but no later than November 6, 2018, and continuing through No- vember 7, 2018, Ms. Joa- mary Rosario, of Tampa conspired with other individ- uals to possess and distribute heroin, fentanyl, and acetyl fentanyl.
On November 6, 2018, Ms. Rosario sold 10 plastic bags, each of which contained a substance composed of a mixture of heroin, fentanyl, and acetyl fentanyl, to an in- dividual.
The individual injected himself with the substance from one of the bags and died. A medical autopsy re- vealed that the cause of death
JOAMARY ROSARIO
was an accidental overdose caused by a mixture of heroin and fentanyl.
On November 7, 2018, an undercover law enforcement officer contacted Ms. Rosario, posing as the de- ceased individual, and asked her to bring him more of what she had delivered the previous night. Ms. Rosario agreed. When she arrived at the meeting place, she was ar- rested and found to be in pos- session of three more bags of the same substance.
