R&B supergroup The Roots have been sued by a former drummer.
Former Roots percussion- ist Frank (Knuckles) Walker is suing his old band after they cut him loose in May, but continue to use his image, according to his attor- ney.
According to the suit,
Walker has asked the Roots to stop promoting perform- ances and appearances with him as a member, yet they con- tinue advertising that he’s still part of the band. The suit also contends that Walker, who joined the Roots in 2002 — 15 years after they formed — was not paid a fair share of royal- ties.

Production on Deadpool 2 started again last Wednesday morning, two days after stunt woman Joi “SJ” Harris was killed in a motorcycle accident on the Vancouver set.
The stunt woman had only recently joined the David Leitch-directed film after it was realized that they needed a different stunt performer for the production.
Brought on only last Wednesday to the already filming sequel, the first African-American female pro- fessional road racer was doing her first film as a stunt per- former. She was killed August 14 when the motorcycle that she was driving went out of control and crashed. She was not wearing a helmet.

Jerry Lewis, 91, still had his sharp wit and comedic edge 7 months before his death ... as seen here in his final on-stage performance ever.
Jerry was performing at the Southwest Florida Event Center in Bonita Springs this past January, and it just so happened to be his final stand- up gig in front of a theater au- dience ... for which he stayed seated, presumably due to his age.
Right out of the gate, you can see the legendary come- dian hadn't missed a step with his timing, as some females from the crowd shouted a clas- sic line of his from "The Ladies Man" ... and he dished a punchline right back.
Lewis died Sunday at his Las Vegas home due to natural causes, according to his fam- ily.
All month long, Scarface and DJ Quik have been on the road on a tour dubbed the Live Experience. With the show wrapping up on Aug. 23, Quik recently announced that fans will be hearing more from the
golden era MCs in the form of a new EP.
The Cali OG recently chopped it up with HipHopDX, where he made the revelation. “Scarface and I, we working on an EP actually,” he said.
LeBron James and Oc- tavia Spencer have teamed up for a new scripted drama.
The NBA baller’s production company, SpringHill Enter- tainment, is working on lim- ited series about entrepreneur and social activist Madam C.J. Walker’s life.
James will executive pro- duce along with his company’s co-founder, Maverick Carter.
Reportedly, Netflix is inter- ested in the series.
Academy award winner, Oc- tavia Spencer will star as Madame C. J. Walker in a lim- ited series for LeBron James’ production company SpringHill Entertainment.

Geary, who’s about three months along, revealed the news Thursday night (Aug. 17). While she didn’t confirm the baby’s gender, it has been reported they’ll be having a
girl.
Thicke, 40, was previously
married to Paula Patton, who filed for divorce in 2014; they have one child together, 7-year-old Julian, and have been involved in an ongoing custody battle. Thicke and Geary, 22, have been dating for three years.
