Mrs. Mary Nell Oliver Gard- ner of Tampa passed away Tues- day, August 15, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 25, 2017 at 10 a. m. at Mt. Zion A. M. E. Church with Rev- erend James T. Golden, officiat- ing. Interment will follow in Florida National Cemetery, Bush- nell, FL.
Mrs. Gardner was a native of Columbus, Georgia and was a res- ident of Tampa for 50 years. She was a graduate of Spencer High School, Columbus, GA. Mrs. Gardner was a member of Mt. Zion A. M. E. Church. She was employed by Wenzel Tile for over 20 years and worked in other fac- tories in the area prior to retire- ment.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Otis and Fannie Ruth Oliver; husband, Jimmie Gardner; brothers, George, Jimmy Lee and Kenny.
She leaves to cherish her memory: sons, Timothy Gardner (Billie), Tommy Gardner, Ken- neth Gardner and Daryl Gardner; one daughter, Jimmie Lynn Pow- ell, all of Tampa; grandchildren, Dominique, Jalisa, Taraneka, Tanay, Nicolas, Tommy, Jr., Yas- miela, Messiah, Amir and Daryl; great grandchildren, Jontavias, Janara and Kennedy, all of Tampa; and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.
The remains will repose from 4 to 7 p. m. Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.

Bicyclist Injured
In Traffic
Accident
A 54-year-old man was injured in a traffic accident last Thursday. The accident took place at Myrtle Avenue and Jones Street.
According to the Clearwa- ter Police Department, the injured man has been identi- fied as Leo Green, of Clear- water.
Green was riding his bi- cycle when he was struck by a 2012 Honda Odyssey, driven by Ms. Sara K. Bax- ter, 53, of Palm Harbor.
Ms. Baxter was driving northbound on Myrtle Av- enue, when Green report- edly rode into her path and she couldn’t avoid hitting him.
Green was transported to Bayfront Health St. Pe- tersburg, where he was ad- mitted in critical condition.
