WASHINGTON
MRS. ROSETTA OXENDINE WORTH
A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Rosetta Oxendine Worth, will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Laura Street Church of Christ, 1310 E. Laura St., Plant City, FL, at 1 p. m., with Minister/Evangelist Brother William Kerrison, offi- ciating and Brother Howard Johnson, eulogizing. Visitation will be held from 12 noon – 12:45 p. m., prior to the service.
Rosetta was affectionately known as, “Ro,” by all of her family and close friends. She was the daughter of the late William and Carrie Oxendine, and was born in Plant City on August 27, 1927. Rosetta at- tended Midway Academy in Plant City, where she graduated at the top of her class as Vale- dictorian.
Mrs. Rosetta Worth was a great seamstress, and was known for designing, sewing and altering clothing for family and friends in the community. In later years, Rosetta became employed with the Hillsborough County School System as a para- professional. She truly cher- ished and loved her career, working with special needs stu- dents, and worked in that ca- pacity for many years until retirement.
She was a faithful and dedi- cated member of the Church of Christ, until her health began to decline.
Rosetta peacefully transi- tioned from this lie on Decem- ber 9, 2021, with her loving and devoted husband, Walter, her children and grandchildren all by her side.
She was preceded in death
by: her mother and father, Car- rie and William Oxendine; and all of her siblings: Helen Powell, Elease Richardson, Kay Frances Johnson, Freddie Mae Oxen- dine, and William Oxendine, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her lov- ing memories: a loving and de- voted husband, Walter Worth, Jr.; 3 daughters, Carol Wash- ington (Anthony “Tony”) of Plant City, FL, Shirley Burnett (Joseph) of Kathleen, GA, and Karen Belk of Mulberry, FL; 3 sons, Harry Perry of Plant City, Bruce Tanner (Jessica) of Port Richey, FL, and Eddie B. MS. MARY FRANCES GREEN (HOUSE) MYERS
Ms. Mary Frances Green (House) Myers was born in Eas- tover, South Carolina to the late Paul Green and Daisy Johnson Green. She was one of their twelve children and was the last surviving sibling when she transitioned from labor to eter- nal rest on December 10, 2021, peacefully, in her Tampa, Florida home.
When her parents and other siblings, preceded her in death, Mary served as a matriarch of the large family. Mary gradu- ated from Webber High School.
She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Charles House. Robert House preceded Mary in death. Her second hus- band was M/Sgt. George E. Myers, Jr. (U. S. Air Force, Re- tired) George also preceded her in death.
Mary Myers was a faithful member of St. John Cathedral, where she sang in the choir and served on the Deaconess Board. An avid reader, she enjoyed solving word puzzles and cross- word puzzles, listening to music and flower gardening.
She retired as Environmen- tal Services Superintendent of Physical Plant in 1997. During her 30 years at USF, she served on the university’s EEOC’s ap- peal and grievance panel, advo- cated for equity in promotions, helped establish a scholarship for students and earned sugges- tion awards from the State of Florida (one from Governor Rubin Askew) for her ideas on efficiency and reduction in workers’ compensation claims
Children survive Mary Myers: Attorney Carolyn House Stewart (Delano), Col. Robert Lee House, U. S. Army, retired (Lynette), Minister Sara Joan Dillard-House, Marvin House (LeAnn), Monica Myers, and bonus son George E. Myers, III (Philena) 14 grandchildren, 10 great –grandchildren: Jarrett, Jaslyn Lillian, Jada, Joy, Michael, Camyrn, Bryan, Jr. Shynia and Christian, Jr. She also leaves to grieve her mem- ory, a host of other family mem- bers, cousins, sisters-in-law, and special friends.
Memorial Services will be on Saturday, December 18 2021, 11 A. M. at St. John Cathedral view- ing at 10-10:45 A. M. (CDC guideline will be followed.)

MR. DWIGHT CANTY
Our beloved Dwight Canty (47) passed away unexpectedly on November 17, 2021. His cheerful attitude and bright smile will be missed, but not forgotten.
Dwight was born December 23, 1973.
Also, he was an amazing fa- ther to his only daughter Yazmene (MiMi) and valued greatly their father-daughter re- lationship.
In addition, Dwight loved playing chess and spending quality time with family.
Dwight is survived by: his mother, Margaret Gilliam-Mur- dock; grandfather, Louis Gilliam; nine siblings: Lawanna Gilliam-Reese (Eric), Michelle Canty, Tammy Canty, Charles Canty, Jr., Conchita Canty- Jones (Darron), Jermaine Canty (Bridgett), Felicia Smoth- erman, Melody Smotherman, and Jacoby Dallas.
He was preceded in death by father and grandparents: Richard Al Brooks (father), Beatrice Paterson, Roberta and Richard Brooks (grandpar- ents).
Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Carmel Friendship Church, 30081 Wells Road, Wesley Chapel, Florida 33545, at 12:30 p. m., followed imme- diately by the repast at A Level Up Rental Hall, 9029 Copeland Road, Tampa, FL 33637 at 3:00 p. m.
