MRS. JOHNNIE MAE GARNER
Mrs. Johnnie Mae Garner of Tampa passed away Tues- day, April 24, 2018. A Celebra- tion of Life service will be held Saturday, May 5, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Progress Village, 8722 Progress Boulevard, with Pas- tor/Teacher Dr. Sam Maxwell, officiating. Interment will fol- low in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnnie Mae Garner affectionately known as "Madea" was a native and life- long resident of Tampa, FL, born to the late Bessie and James Johnson. She was edu- cated in the Public Schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Middleton Senior High School, "The Home of the Tigers". Johnnie Mae retired as a Teacher from the School Dis- trict of Hillsborough County.
Madea was a faithful mem- ber of First Baptist Church of Progress Village under the leadership of Dr. Sam Maxwell, Pastor/Teacher until her health wouldn't allow her to at- tend.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Dennis F. Garner, Sr.; sons, Dennis Gar- ner, Jr., and George Earl Alli- son; daughter, Edythe Rose Bullock; brothers, Joe John- son, L. J. Johnson and James Johnson; and sisters, Zelma Williams, Annie Hines, Erie Johnson and Altamese Comer.
Johnnie Mae Garner leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Patricia A. Hanker- son and Margaret Sims; 3 sons, James Grant, Sr., Albert Gar- ner, Sr. and friend, Connie of Bonaire, GA and Michael Gar- ner, Sr.; grandchildren, Alphonso Hankerson Jr. (Princess), Gache’ Hankerson, Latricia Hankerson, Theron Hankerson (LaShay), Gerald Hankerson, Jeffrey Butler, Vernon Sims, II of Oakland, CA, James Grant, Jr., Linda Fair (Joseph), Melissa Garner, Dennis Garner, III., Albert Garner Jr., Ali Garner, Staci Garner of Oakland, CA, Shau- nice White, Latrese Garner Holiday, Michael Garner Jr. and Ayden Garner; nephew, Ruben and Wilheminia Lock- ett; honorary daughter, Lisa Allen; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Johnnie Lee Rubin was born on October 10, 1957 to the late George and Evelina J. Rubin. Mr. Rubin was a gradu- ate of H.B. Plant High School, Class of 1976. He was employed by AA Casey Company for over 20 years and was a member of Brothers of Jesus Christ #550 for over 10 years.
There will be a viewing on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street with the family present to re- ceive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the chapel.
Friends are asked to assem- ble at the church on Saturday at approximately 10:45 a.m. for the service.

MRS. ALLIE MAE ROLLINS
Mrs. Allie Mae McEady Rollins of Tampa, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018. Fu- neral services will be held Sat- urday, May 5 at 2 p.m. at New St. Paul AME Church, 4603 N. 42nd St., Tampa, FL 33610 with Rev. R. Stephen Andrews, offi- ciating, Reverend J. Ricc Rollins, II, eulogist. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Allie Mae McEady Rollins was a native of New- berry, Florida and a resident of Tampa for more than 70 years. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Rollins worked as housekeeper, a job she loved that according to the families she worked for, “im- pacted their lives far beyond her service.” She was also a consummate mother, wife, seamstress, gardener, home- maker, and devout Christian.
Mrs. Rollins was an excel- lent cook and enjoyed prepar- ing meals for her family and friends, especially Sunday din- ner. Her loved ones would tell you that she was the best wife, mother, friend, family (both natural and universal) and neighbor anyone could ask for. She met no strangers, always saw the best in people and made it her business to touch their lives and make sure they knew someone cared. When she wasn’t cooking she could be found piddling in her garden growing fresh vegetables, or tending to her plants, especially her roses and orchids. She had an unwavering faith in God and loved her church.
She was a life member of St. Matthew's Missionary Baptist Church, where she faithfully served in various leadership roles; especially the Youth and Children’s department, was a active participant in the Se- nior’s ministry and loved at- tending Sunday School until her health prevented her from doing so.
She is predeceased by the love of her life, Jessie Rollins, Sr.; her parents, John and Marie Green McEady, and sib- lings, Annie V. McEady John- son, William “Bill” McEady, Fred McEady and Clyde McEady.
She leaves her legacy of love and devotion to: her son, Rev- erend J. Ricc Rollins II; daugh- ter, Gwendolyn Evans Rollins; the other pride and joy of her life, her granddaughter, Jessica Ryan Rollins; a long host of lov- ing relatives, dear friends and neighbors whom will miss her dearly.

Mr. Johara A. Simpson of Tampa, Florida, passed away Monday, April 23, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted Sat- urday, May 5, at 2 p.m. at North- side Missionary Baptist Church, 5706 N. 40th Street, with Rev- erend Henry Dale, officiating.
Mr. Johara Simpson was na- tive and lifelong resident of Tampa for 39 years. He attended Hillsborough County Public Schools. He was preceded in death by: his father, Jackie Simpson.

Mr. Johnnie Lee Rubin, AKA “Golly” of Tampa, Florida tran- sitioned this life on Monday, April 23, 2018. His celebration of life and homegoing service will be held on Saturday, May 5th at 11:00 A.M. at Allen Tem- ple African Methodist Episcopal Church, 2101 Lowe Street, Tampa, Florida with Rev. Dr. Glenn B. Dames Jr. officiating.
Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida.
