MR. SHAUKEE JOVON SLATER, SR.
Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Shaukee Jovon Slater, Sr., who passed on October 20, 2021, will be held on Saturday Novem- ber13,2021,at2p.m.atSt.Luke A. M. E. Church, 2709 N. 25th Street, Tampa, Florida, with Rev. Kirk Bogen, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memo- rial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida.
Shaukee was born on Septem- ber 8, 1978, in Tampa, Florida, to the parentage of Deloris Slater and Willie Walker. He loved his family and was a protector of his family. He loved helping people and was a good-hearted man.
Shaukee was preceded in death by: his parents; his step- son, Kelly Stacey, Jr. and mother- in-law, Ella D. Hunter.
He leaves loving memories with: wife, Toni Slater; 3 children, Shakieona Slater, Shakira Slater, and Shaukee Slater, Jr.; 3 step- children, Desiree Key, Shanetika Anthony, and Dontavious Collins; 23 siblings including, Antwann Slater, Jessica Slater, Bernard Oates, Nedine Walker, Winfred Lumpkin, Henry Lumpkin, Shelia Burgess, Michael Burgess, Beverly Ortiz, Hiam Ortiz, Cantrel Walker, Willie Walker, Jr., Stephanie Walker, Sonia Mason, Willie Mason, Juanita Walker, Sam Walker, Ophelia Walker, Robert Walker, Klinfe Slater and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
There will be a viewing on Sat- urday, November 13, 2021, at St. Luke A. M. E. Church, 2709 N. 25th Street, Tampa, Florida from 1- 2 p. m.

MR. VINCENT EUGENE WILLIAMS
A Memorial Service for Mr. Vincent Eugene Williams, who passed on October 23, 2021, will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 4 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, FL, with a local pastor, officiating.
Mr. Vincent Eugene Williams was born on July 9, 1967 in Talla- hassee, Florida, to the parentage of Alexander Bruton and Henrietta Davis Williams.
Mr. Williams served in the Air Force for 16 years until he was honorably discharged because of medical reasons. During his time with the Air Force he was a Police Officer and a member of the Honor Guard. Vincent loved his family and he enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grand- son. He loved watching basketball and football. He also liked going to concerts.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Alexander Bruton and Henrietta Davis Williams.
He leaves to cherish precious memories of him with: his three daughters, Tracie Williams, Jas- mine Williams and Alexandra Williams; one grandson, Noah Purcell; one brother, Vernon Williams; one sister, Erica Bruton; ex-wife, Francine Gillison- Williams; and a host of other fam- ily members and friends.

Brown was born and raised in Tampa, FL to parents, Leola and Mines Sullivan and Lilla Mae and Luther Maddox.
Mrs. Beatrice Brown joined her parents, also preceded in death by: her brother, Preston Livingston, Sr.
To live on are: her children: daughter, Tangela S. Maddox, son, Christopher L. Brown; grandchildren, Tanknekia (Charles Jackson), Rickya War- ren (Sylvester Sheppard), Christopher L. He was a major influencer in the lives of his nephews/ nieces: Willie Adams, Donna Broadnax (Adrian), Kimberly Adams, Char- lie Adams (Maria), Paula McNeal, Andre Williams, Calvin Young Jr., Daniel Williams, Will Williams, Jr. (Laryssia), Theresa Moultrie (Daland) Antonio Williams, Alex Haynes (Nancy), Alexis Haynes; with an honorable mention to his cousins, his first best friends: James Bates (Gwen), Mary Joyce Gatlin, Joyce Turner (Leroy), Donald McBride (Cynthia), Violet Johnson (Jay), Belinda Harris (James) and Sharon Johnson.
In his absence, he will be missed by a wide host of extended family and friends with a noted thanks to lifelong devoted friends, Elijah “Buddy’’ Carr and Albert Anderson, and posthumously Eu- gene Thomas, Sr. and Robert “Pop Man” Sherman. A special thanks to Good Sheppard Hospice of Lakeland and Opis Highland Lake Center.

Mrs. Jessie Lee Swilley was born on April 6, 1938 in Griffin, Georgia to Lillian Dewberry Thomas and Elijah Thomas. She was their second child. Her twin, James preceded her in death as an infant.
Mrs. Swilley grew up in Griffin, Georgia before relocating to Sun City, Florida where she would work as a migrant worker before relocat- ing to Rubonia, Florida. She later moved and made Tampa her home.
Mrs. Swilley’s love for people led her to a long term career as a CNA until she retired. She had an avid love for animals, especially dogs. She was a great cook. Mrs. Swilley was a very loving and affec- tionate mother who did the best she knew how. She enjoyed music and loved to dance and sing. She was also a dedicated Jehovah’s Wit- ness until her death.
Mrs. Swilley departed this life on 4 November, 2021 in Sun City, Florida.
She was preceded in death by: her husband Johnnie Lee Swilley; daughter, Pamela Johnson; par- ents, Lillian and Elijah Thomas, sis- ter, Helen Jones and brother, Elijah Thomas, Jr.
She is survived by: her chil- dren, Sandra Grant and husband, Larry Grant, Gregory Swilley, Myra Nelson, Wayne Swilley and wife, Angela Swilley, Tanoka Dumas and husband, James Dumas, Tawanna Butler and fiancé, Darrell Tabor; 25 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; brother, Paul Thomas and wife, Dorothy Thomas; her great aunt, Maggie Calhoun and husband, Lorenzo Calhoun; and a host of other rela- tives and friends. She will live on forever in our hearts, thoughts and memories.

A Celebration of Life cere- mony will be held for Nathaniel “Nat” Monts of Lakeland, FL. He transitioned on Sunday, October 31st, 2021. Viewing will be held on November 13th from 10 A.M-11 AM with services directly proceeding; to be held at the First Baptist In- stitutional Church, located at 932 Martin L. King, Jr. Ave, in Lake- land, Florida. Services will be offi- ciated by Steve Patrick of the Family Worship Center. The cre- mation will be conducted by Can- non Funeral Home on November 15th.
Sunrise for Nathaniel began on February 26, 1940, to Angus Monts, Inez Monts-Williams and George Williams. He was a Florida native; during his early formative years, he was raised in West Tampa and the North Hyde Park communities, attending Dobeyville Elementary, Dunbar and Blake Sr. High School, in which he was a member of the “Yellow Jackets” Marching Band. He was also a member of Tyer Temple United Methodist Church, as a youth only coming back into the embrace of Lord and Savior’s in his later years.
