Howard W. Blake Class Of 1971 Holds Mini Reunion
On August 4-5, the Howard W. Blake Class of 1971 (last of the Original Yel- low Jackets) gathered to Connect and Reflect in a Mini Reunion celebrating 47 years.
Events included: a Class Meeting, Birthday Celebra- tion and Social. All activities were held at 2010 E. MLK Blvd,. and catered by Henry Ballard, III (2001), Monica Ballard Brown and Joyce Gath- ers Ballard (1969). The Class worshiped at Tyer Temple United Methodist Church on Sunday. Class- mate Charles “Chuck” McDonald served as the Lay Minister.
The Class kicked off its planning for their 50th Year Reunion. Officers elected: President - Melvin “Schoolboy” Monroe; Vice President, Yvette Bal- lard Jackson; Secretary, Yvonne Glasgow; Assis- tant Secretaries, Mary Jones Randolph and Harriet Chester Watkins; Treasurer, Fred- die L. Moore; and Chap- lain, Freddie Everhart.

2019 to continue 50th year planning. The first Meeting will be January 19 at 2 p. m. at 2010 E. MLK Blvd., Tampa, FL 33610.
