Charmettes To Host ‘Women Of Faith Praying For A Cure’ Luncheon
The Hillsborough County Chapter of The Charmettes, Incorporated will be hosting “Women of Faith Praying for a Cure” Luncheon on Saturday, March 25, 2017, 11 a. m., at St. John Progressive MB Church Christian Life Center, 2504 E. Chipco Street, Tampa, 33605. The ticket cost is $25.00 per person.
The theme is “Women of Faith Praying for a Cure.” “This event is an opportunity to bring
awareness and education to the forefront in our communities and across the nation,” President De- lores Williams said.
“The members of the Hillsborough County Chapter are anxiously preparing for this very special event. The re- search for a cure of all kinds of cancers has al- ways been the main focus of the organization. The fact that research is bene- ficial, has been proven by the astronomical number of survivors of this dread- ful disease.”
The Charmettes are grateful to have been given the opportunity to honor and salute survivors within their community.

A portion of the pro- ceeds will go to the Howard University Can- cer Center (HUCC) for cancer research. To date, the organization has con- tributed more than $500,000 to the HUCC to support cancer research and services.
In 2006, the chemotherapy infusion center was named, The Charmettes, Inc. Gwen- dolyn B. Rodgers Chemotherapy infusion Suite,” in honor of the
long term support pro- vided to the Howard Uni- versity Cancer Center by the Charmettes, Incorpo- rated.
