Reunion Benefit Planned To Help Adrian White With Medical Care

White spent 8 days in ICU recently following kidney failure.
Friends of Adrian White have come together to host a Reunion Benefit in his honor to help with his medical care.
The benefit will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018, 11 a.m.to4p.m.intheparking lot of Penny Saver, 4915 N. 34th St. Non-food vendors are invited.
Gloria Shellman of Classic Hair Salon, and Linda Edwards keep close tabs on White, as does his mother, Mrs. Delores White. When they believe there is a need, they start working.
They sent out an alert ear- lier this month to those in Belmont Heights, Jackson Heights and surrounding areas to get ready to support their friend.
White went into kidney failure after receiving an in- fusion on April 20th to protect his bones. White said he was at the hospital for the infu- sionat7a.m.“By2p.m.that day, they called and said I needed to get to the hospital as soon as possible. My kid- neys were at 1%.” White said he didn’t wait for assistance,

“I drove myself to the hospi- tal, trying to get there as soon as possible.”
He is home now, with a long road to recovery and several bottles of medicine.
It was Saturday, January 3, 2015 when White re- ceived the call to report to Tampa General Hospital for a lung transplant. He was the first transplant patient for 2015.
Prior to the lung trans- plant, White had battled Sarcardosis, a disease that at- tacks the immune system, for 9 years. He was one of the first in the area to actively bring awareness to the dis- ease and how it affects the body.
