The Hollywood Reporter
says several actors have already joined the movie, which will be written, directed and produced by Perry, who also stars.
Perry penned the screen- play 26 years ago, the first one he’d ever written.
The film unravels 40 years of secrets and lies in a tale of forbidden love and family drama soundtracked by juke joint blues in the deep South and will heavily feature Savan- nah and Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta.
It’s set to begin shooting this week and is expected to be released in 2022 on Netflix.

In the visual, both artists are seen meeting up with their significant other, for a chill night in, with zero distrac- tions. The single was released back in April, with Breezy dubbing it the ‘song of the summer.’
H.E.R. recently took part in Global Citizen’s “Vax Live:
H. E.R. AND CHRIS BROWN
The Concert To Reunite The World” show, delivering an in- credible performance of ‘Glory.’

In an interview with Yahoo!, the West Coast rap icon said his dream is to play the halftime show with a few hometown heroes including Dr. Dre and Kendrick Lamar, along with his Shady/Aftermath friends Eminem and 50 Cent.
“Hopefully the NFL will be smart and make the right de- cision. It’s in Inglewood, Calif., and it will make the

Tha Doggfather has al- ready volunteered his serv- ices. “I’m available, Dre’s available, Eminem’s avail- able, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent — whoever Dr. Dre wants to pull out of his hat to make this thing a professional event and make it big and the biggest effort they can have. It’s just a matter of the NFL pulling the trigger.”
