MRS. VEATRICE RENEE AVERY-CARSWELL
A Homegoing Memorial Cele- bration for Mrs. Veatrice Renee Avery-Carswell, who passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021, will be held on Saturday, May 22nd at 11 a. m. at Mount Moriah PB Church, 1225 N. Nebraska Ave., Tampa, Florida, Dr. B. R. Fulton, pastor; Rev. Eric Bostick officiat- ing.
Mrs. Veatrice Renee Avery- Carswell was born September 28, 1959 in Tampa, Florida, to her parents James Cecil Avery and Loretta Howard. She was born and raised in Tampa, FL. She was a faithful member of Heritage Christian Community Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking, going to the casino, and giving back by helping others.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Gre- gory and Daron Avery; step- brother, John Henry Avery; and grandson, Fabian McKnight, Jr.
She leaves behind to cherish her precious memories: her spouse, Albert Carswell; chil- dren, Tamara Brown, Fabian and Ashley McKnight, and Nayla Cooper; grandchildren, Taquan Davis, Ta’niya Reddick, Messiah and Kiyla Carter; brother, Lenoris Avery; sister, Joyce Mitchell; aunts, Annie Will Jones and Dorothy Hadley; nieces, Ebony Mitchell, Andrea Guer- rier, Dominique Avery, Helen Bass, Alicia Johnson; nephews, Lenoris Fleming, John, James, Terry, and Nolan Avery and Andre Harrell; cousins, Howard family, Avery family, Hayes fam- ily, and Robinson family; special friends, Rovena Dallas (god- mother), Lisa Relford (god- daughter), and a host of friends and other relatives.
There will be no viewing. The family and friends are asked to meet at church on Saturday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.

BISHOP WILLIE CLARENCE BARB
MRS. JULIA MAE DOUGLAS
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Julia Mae Douglas of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, will be held on Saturday, May 22nd, 4 p. m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Min. Stanley Harris, officiating. Our songbird has flown away to join Heaven’s Praise Team where she can sing without ceasing.
Mrs. Julia Mae Young Dou- glas, the oldest of 13 children, was born April 8, 1944 to the late Oscar L. Young, Sr. and Minnie L. Young in Byronville, Georgia. She relocated to Tampa with her fam- ily in 1947 attended the schools of Hillsborough County, graduating from Middleton High School, class of 1962. Julia was a faithful member of Gospel Assembly of Central Florida for over 20 years. She was a praise and worship leader and served other areas of ministry as needed. She was a for- mer employee of the University of South Florida Police Department and worked 28 years before retir- ing.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Raymond Douglas; her parents, Deacon Oscar, Sr. and Minnie Young; sister, Linda Clay; brothers, Alvin Young, Sr. and Willie Fred Young; grandpar- ents, Jodie and Julia Trice, Felton and Alverna Young and great- grandchild, Teyana Griffin.
She leaves her fond memories with: her 3 devoted children, Ed- wina Griffin (Shirley), Julnita Griffin and Andrea Upshur (Stephen); 8 grandchildren, Shawanita Griffin, Terrance Grif- fin (to be Ireana), Romondo Gib- son, Ricardo Griffin, Quandis Bogan (Eric), Kandiss Tofan (Iurie), Stephen Upshur, Jr. and Justin Upshur; 10 great-grand- children, Brandee Griffin, Jalissa Griffin, Kalyela Durham, Shaniya Griffin, Tameya Griffin, Ricardo Griffin, Jr., Jovahn Griffin, Bryce Lane, Ameer Bogan and Andre Brown; 1 great-grandchild, Ar- mani Guice; 9 siblings, Oscar Young, Jr. (Juanita), Rudolph Young (Skyra), Sylvester Young (Rose), Corliss Turner (Donald), Derrick Young (Aquan), Minerva Morgan, Jacqueline Akperwero (Michael), Janet Anderson (Melvin) and Vernon Young (Ro- maine); sisters-in-law, Peggy Young and Gwendolyn Young; 4 aunts; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, May21st from1to4p.m.Thefam- ily and friends are asked to meet at the chapel for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.

MR. AUDLEY HILLS, JR.
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Audley Hills, Jr. of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Sat- urday, May 8, 2021, will be held on Saturday, May 22nd, 11 a.,m. at Exciting Faith Alive Church, 5705 E. 32nd Ave., Pastor Antonio Hawkins, officiating. The inter- ment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Audley Hills, Jr. was born August 26, 1983 in Tampa, FL to Audley Hills, Sr. and Ester Brown Streater. He was one of seven siblings. Audley accepted Christ at a young age while at- tending Progress Village Baptist Church. During his youth, Aud- ley enjoyed fishing with his grandmother and parents, play- ing little league football and spending time with his family.
Although Audley did not re- ceive a traditional high school diploma, he was determined to complete his education and later received his diploma from Brew- ster Technical School. He then obtained his CDL License and later became a Truck Driver for Flat Creek Transportation in July of 2019. Audley enjoyed traveling throughout the country while working.
Audley married in 2008 and became a loving husband to Ash- ley Hills. Audley was an amazing father to his daughter, Audleyia Hills (age 14). Some of his fa- vorite things to do as an adult was fishing, enjoy time with his friends, siblings and closest loved ones. Audley was able to light up a room with his smiling face and huge heart. He found pleasure in making others laugh and was a joy to be around. He
will be dearly missed and, in our hearts, forever.
Audley was preceded in death by: his grandmothers, Ester Zigler and Marcila Brown and grandfathers, Agusta Zigler and Spellman Brown; uncles, Michael Fairclough, Dennis Buggs and Peter James Clemons; nephew, Ty’Hir Williams.

A Homegoing Celebration for Bishop Willie Clarence Barb of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021, will be held on Saturday, May 22nd, 2:30 p. m. at Exciting Faith Alive Church, 5705 E. 32nd Avenue, Pastor Anto- nio Hawkins, with Elder James E. Williams, officiating. The inter- ment will be held in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Bishop Barb was born on Sep- tember 13, 1945 in Tampa, Florida, to the parentage of Mr. Willie Au- thur Barb and Jeanette Mingo- Barb. As a child, he grew up in the Hyde Park and West Tampa area. He attended Hillsborough County Public Schools and graduated from Middleton High School in 1964. He then went on to FAMU on a baseball scholarship.
He came back to Tampa and got married September 9, 1966 to Mother Paulette Barb and have been married for 54 years.
Bishop Barb was saved in 1969 under Bishop Amos Jackson, and soon afterwards, God blessed him with his own church and ministry, where he began his mission of help- ing others and preaching the Word of God. Bishop was well-known all- over Tampa and was often referred to as “The Walking Bible.” He was also known for his leadership and coaching for Belmont Heights Little League Baseball team. Bishop Barb touched so many lives and he will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Willie Authur Barb; mother, Jeanette Mingo-Barb; daughter, Regina Mobley; son, Michael C. Barb; and sister, Mar- cella Parker.
Bishop Barb leaves behind: a devoted and loving wife, Mother Paulette Barb; 1 son, Darrell C. Barb (Cassie May); 2 brothers, Au- thuro Barb-Mingo and Danny Barb; 1 son-in-law, Jimmie L. Mobley; grandchildren, Keaira Mobley, Jim- mie G. Mobley, Emmesha Mobley, Darrell C. Barb, Jr., DaQuan Barb, Deja Barb and Jessica Boyd; great- grandchildren, KeAvia Mobley, Em- miyah Bunkley, Jamaurice A. Burgess Jr., Jai’Elle Burgess, Jaliyah Mobley, Da’Sani Barb, Zyron, Dakarai, Gianni, Kayden, Kaycee and DaQuan, Jr., niece, Yu- wonda Parker and family; cousins, James Earl McWhite and family; The Mingo family; spiritual daugh- ter, Sis. Wendy Barnes (husband- Minister Frank Barnes); a host of family from Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and Tampa, Florida; a host of other beloved family and friends; special friend and confidant, Pastor John Jerelds (wife, Mother Janice Jerelds).
