MRS. CAROLYN HUMPHREY

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at 11 A. M., at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th St., Tampa, FL 33610, with Pastor Dr. Evan Burrows, offi- ciating, Interment will be at Rose Hill Memorial Park, 4406 E. Chelsea St., Tampa, FL 33610.
Mrs. Carolyn Humphrey born December 17, 1961 in Solvay, New York. She was the daughter of Mary and Jack Jones; she was the youngest of six children.
Carolyn met her husband Simon Humphrey in 1982. Eventually, sparks flew and they began to date. Carolyn and Simon went on to marry and with that union she gave birth to two beautiful children, Mis- handa Humphrey and Simon Micheal Humphrey. They were married for 36 years.
Carolyn was a stay-at- home mom with a passion for interior design. She had planned to at- tend design school, but instead dedicated her time to raising her children and helping to raise her grandchildren. That did not stop her from pursuing her passion, spending time teaching herself how to re- design spaces, and putting her skills to use creating a beautiful home for her family and de- signing wonderful landscapes and helping others to decorate their homes.
Carolyn’s greatest joys came from spending time with her family, gardening, and the love of the Lord. Carolyn would talk for hours about the time that she spent spreading her love for God through her work with World Missions at First Baptist Church of College Hill. Through this work she would gather items for those in need, visit the sick and shut-in, and use her love for design to create items to spread the love of God.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 21, 2021, 5PM-7PM at Jackson Funeral Home, 4605 N. 34th St., Tampa, FL 33610. Family and friends are asked to assemble at 10:30 a. m., Frist Baptist Church of College Hill, for the service.
