BROTHER LUTHER JEROME EVERETT
A celebration of life for Brother Luther Jerome Everett, who passed away on January 27, 2022, will be held Saturday, Feb- ruary 12, 2022, at 12 noon at Harmon Funeral Home Chapel, 5002 N. 40th Street Tampa, FL 33610, with Sr. Pastor Thomas Maultsby, officiating. Interment will be made in Mayberry Ceme- tery Seffner, Florida.
Brother Luther Jerome Everett was born on July 3, 1957, to the late Amos Everett and Gladys Hendry. He was born and raised in Seffner, FL. He was converted in 1995, under Pastor Lewis King and later moved to Orlando, FL under the pastoral guidance of Jake Simon.
He was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. He was a friend to all and would help however he could. In his own right he was a cook. He would whip up a pot of goulash with a little something of every- thing in it, everything! And be surprised when you say nah...no thanks. He was always so full of laughter and life.
He leaves cherished memo- ries in the hearts of: children, Ebony and Ronell Dixon; broth- ers, Earl Everett, Ernest Everett; sisters, Myrtle “Babe” Hamilton, Carlyn (Chester) Harrelson, Gladys “Polly” Everett, Ella Everett; special nephews: Eric Crist, Donnie Crist and Charlie Everett and a host of other sor- rowing family and friends.
Rejoicing with him on his homecoming are his beloved parents; siblings: Amos Jr., Flo- rence, Edgar, Leona, Carl, Clarence, nephew, nieces and cousins.
Visitation for Brother Luther Jerome Everett will be held this Thursday evening February 10, 2022, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. The family and friends will as- semble at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday at Harmon Funeral Home. A fa- cial covering protection is neces- sary.

MR. DAVID WILLIAMS ‘CHINA’
Mr. David Williams, “China,” was a native of St. Pe- tersburg, Florida, born to Beat- rice (Harvey) Williams and Robert Williams.
After relocating to Tampa, he attended Middleton High School where he was a member of the Marching Tiger Band showing his first love of music playing the trombone. “China’s” ability to cause others to gen- uinely laugh when you were en- gaged in casual and very candid conversations with him will be missed. He enjoyed life and liv- ing it on his own terms. He re- dedicated his life to Christ in 2017 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
He leaves behind his wife, Deborah Williams and sons, David Williams and Azeem (Mi- randa) Grissett; his daughters, Marvalyn Williams, Janine (Vic- tor) Troupe, Detra Williams, Erica (Eddie) Vazquez, and their mother, Hannah (Pat) Johnson; his 12 grandchildren, John (An- gela) Lang, Danielle (Luis) Vazquez, Demetrius Williams, Lacey (Darren) Pinkney, Ariel McCloud, Jaderica Kaymore, Jaylen Keels, Jalyssa Troupe, Lexis Troupe, Victor Troupe, Al- liuq Troupe, Davion Williams, and (1) who preceded him in death, Vaquilla Troupe; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 siblings, Elizabeth Powell, Mary Louise Hardy, Pastor Frank Williams, Beatrice Hurte; and 5 siblings who preceded him in death: Richard Williams, Robert Williams, Jr., Lucy Ward, Geneva Stephens, and Carrie Lee Roger and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
There will be a memorial cel- ebration Saturday, February 12, 2022, 1 p. m., at All Peoples Life Center, 6105 E. Sligh Avenue, Tampa, 33617, Shelter #3.
MR. RUBIN HARRIS, SR.
Mr. Rubin Harris transitioned to his heavenly home on Thurs- day, January 27, 2022. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2 p. m, at Exciting Faith Alive (Mt. Silla), 5705 E. 32nd Ave., Tampa, FL 33619. Bishop Charles Davidson will be officiat- ing.
Rubin Harris, Sr. was born on September 8, 1945 to Lillie C. Miller and Richard Harris in Tampa, FL. “June Bug,” as he af- fectionately was called by many, grew up in Central Park, where he was raised by Geraldine Harris. He also loved and adored his bonus mother Dorothy Harris. His immediate family also con- sisted of eight sisters and four brothers.
Rubin attended public schools in Hillsborough County. He grad- uated from Blake High School where he enjoyed playing on the football team. Rubin also met Mary Williams while attending Blake. They married shortly after high school and had four children. He also played semi pro football for The Brandon Hawks.
He was employed for many years until his health started to de- cline. Rubin was employed at Manger Motor Inn Hotel Down-
MR. ARTHUR BERNARD SCOTT
A Homegoing Service at Graveside for Mr. Arthur Bernard Scott who passed away on January 26, 2022, will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 2pm at Rest Haven Memorial Park with Rev. Dr. Shafter Scott, Pastor of St. Mary Baptist Church, of Bealsville, FL, officiat- ing, Eulogist, Pastor Harold Scott.
Mr. Arthur Bernard Scott was born in Tampa, FL, May 20, 1938, and reared in the Old West Tampa Community, North Boule- vard Homes as the oldest child of thirteen children.
Arthur, was known as “Pop” or Mr. Scott, as he ordered his youngest siblings to call him. Arthur attended local schools and graduated from Don Thompson High School. Arthur worked as a youngster, delivering groceries on his bicycle, and as a store butcher at Joe Polara’s Grocery Store on Old Central Avenue and Frank’s Market on Old Kay Street. He was also one of the first em- ployees hired to assist at Pughsley and Stone Funeral Homes.
Arthur enlisted as a recruit into the United States Navy and completed three and a half years before receiving an Honorable Discharge. Arthur was also em- ployed as a Longshoreman on the banana docks of Tampa Bay for many years.
Brother Arthur Bernard Scott and his family were devout members of Greater Bethel M. B. Church. He was also recognized as a Co-founder of the City-wide Gospel Choir Union Number Three.
Arthur was preceded in eter- nal rest by: his wife, Joann Cain Scott; one son, Larry Bernard Scott; three grandchildren, Jus- tine Williams, Domionique Scott, Iesha Washington; grandparents; parents (listed above); two broth- ers; Harold Scott, Jr., William Scott; two sisters; Roberta Wilder and Annie Theresa Scott.
During the last two years, Arthur was devotedly cared for by his son and daughter-in-law, Apostle Harold Richard Scott and Pastor Deborah Scott.
He is also survived by: three daughters, Carolyn Scott, Carin Scott, and Vanetta Scott; six grandsons, four granddaughters; twenty-two great grandchildren; siblings, Rev. Shafter (Evalina) Scott, Carol Scott, Jacob Scott, Harriet Scott and Andrew Scott; sister in law, Diane Scott; three stepchildren, and two step grand- children. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Visitation is from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., this Friday evening at Har- mon Funeral Home, 5002 N. 40th Street, Tampa Florida. Facial cov- ering protection is necessary.
