Ray Allen Decides To Sit Out Entire 2014-2015 Season
RAY ALLEN
Ray Allen has decided to
sit out the entire 2014-15 sea- son, he announced in a press release Wednesday.
Allen has been mulling whether to play this season as well as which playoff-bound team he would join. With Allen receiving interest from numerous teams, he left open the possibility of playing next season.
"Over the past several months, I have taken a lot of time to deliberate what is best for me," Allen said. "I've ulti- mately decided that I will not play this NBA season. I'm going to take the remainder of this season, as well as the up- coming offseason, to reassess my situation, spend time with my family and determine if I will play in the 2015-16 sea- son."
Allen, 39, is the NBA's all- time leader in 3-point field goals and is a two-time NBA champion.
Floyd-Manny Conference Set For L.A.
Draft To Attend Gruden’s Camp
With the deal for the long- awaited Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Manny Pacquiao megafight signed, the top two boxers in the world will meet to officially kick off the pro- motion for the fight that most believe will shatter every box- office record in boxing history.
Mayweather and Pac- quiao, who will meet to unify their welterweight world titles May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in the main event of a historic joint pay-per-view between Showtime and HBO, will appear together on March
Florida State’s Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota of Oregon will spend time on and off the field with former Buccaneers coach Jon Gruden later this month in Orlando as part of his annual Quarterback Camp.
Baylor’s Bryce Petty, UCLA’s Brett Hundley and Garrett Grayson of Col- orado State are also slated to attend Gruden’s camp at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports Complex.
With the first overall pick in the April 30 draft, the Bucs are considering either Mari- ota or Winston.
“Not many people do what Jameis Winston did -- first year as a starter winning a na- tional championship, only one loss in his two years as a

starter,’’ Gruden said. “He’s got great charisma. He’s po- larizing for some people, but he’s a rare talent.’’
Oregon’s quarterback, Mariota “is special in a lot of ways. He’s a dynamic dual- threat on the field and he is humble, no-nonsense and full of character off the field,’’ Gruden said.
Gruden’s Quarterback Camp is back for its sixth year this spring, beginning April 7.

They will meet at a news conference at a location to be determined in Los Angeles, organizers announced Mon- day.
Report: Ray Rice Gets $1.588 Million
Jim Harbaugh's heroics at Michigan apparently stretch beyond the football field.
Harbaugh and one of the football program's support staffers stopped to help a pair of women who had been in a car crash on the interstate Tuesday afternoon.
The police report said the car flipped multiple times while rolling over the median on I-94 before coming to a stop in a snow embankment. No other vehicles were in- volved in the crash. The 53- year-old driver was partially ejected from the car through

the driver's side window. She and her 73-year-old passenger were both wearing seat belts and had "non-life threatening injuries." They were trans- ported to a local hospital via ambulance.
Harbaugh and Minick were on their way to the air- port when they saw the car and stopped to help.
Ray Rice received $1.588 million from the Baltimore Ravens as part of the settle- ment in his wrongful-termina- tion grievance hearing in January, sources reported.
As a result of the settle- ment, the Ravens will carry an additional $177,000 against the 2015 salary cap. The NFL had placed a $1.411 million cap charge against the Ravens' 2014 cap when Rice filed his grievance. So, the additional $177,000 will carry over into 2015.

LeBron Passes Allen In Scoring
CLEVELAND - Superstar LeBron James continued to make his mark on the record books Tuesday, as he passed former teammate Ray Allen for No. 21 on the NBA's all- time scoring list in the Cleve- land Cavaliers' 110-79 win over the Boston Celtics.
James' fast-break layup off a Kyrie Irving assist with 7:49 remaining in the third quarter gave him 25 points for the game, edging him past Allen. He finished with 27 points and is now three points ahead of Allen's 24,505-point career total.
"I didn't know until I came to the bench and the guys con- gratulated me, and I was like, 'For what? For making a layup?'" James recalled postgame. "They go, 'You passed Ray Allen.' That's one of my best friends. That's a guy that I competed against, I grew up watching and then to be able to team with him

the last two years when I was in Miami, I learned so much from him about work ethic, about being a professional, and it just added on to my game.
"To know that I passed him tonight, it's very hum- bling. I guess I've done some pretty good things in this league so far."
