MR. WILFRED CURTIS PRESTON
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Wilfred Curtis Preston, who went home to be with the Lord on Fri- day, October 20, 2017, will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 10 a. m. at New Mount Zion Mis- sionary Baptist Church, where he was a member, 2511 E. Columbus Dr., Tampa, FL 33605, Rev. Larry Roundtree, II, Pastor and Minis- ter Ronald Thomas, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Curtis was born on April 29, 1964 in Quincy, FL to the parent- age of the late Leroy Akins and Mother Thelma Preston Everett. He attended schools in Hillsbor- ough County. He was a former employee of RIPA Construction as a laborer.
Curtis enjoyed being with his family, especially spending time with his son, step-children, and the grand kids. He did any and everything to make his wife, Juliet Wanda Tillman happy.
He enjoyed the game of foot- ball and was a huge fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He loved playing cards and occasionally going fishing.
Curtis was preceded in death by: his father, Leroy Akins; grand- mother, Rosa Bell Clary; aunts, Allie Preston and Maggie Adams; uncles, Cary Preston and Daniel Mills; cousin, Gary Preston.
Curtis leaves a lifetime of cherished memories with: his lov- ing and devoted wife, Juliet Wanda Tillman, whom he loved dearly; a loving son, Wilfred (Tnotch) Tillman; 3 stepsons, Kevin (Duke), Issiah (Pete), and Xavier (Pooney) Thomas; a step- daughter, Yarmilia (Meme) Thomas, all of Tampa, FL; grand- children, Sikevia, Ja’Leigh, Aliyiah, Jahmiya, Te’Niya, Jah’Zara, Imonii, and Xavier, Jr.; loving mother, Thelma Preston Everett; mother and father-in- law, Audrey and Vincent Brown; brothers, Jeffrey (Jackie) Daniels, Jerome, Charliefred (Winniford), and Kenny, all of Tampa, FL; as a sister, Cheryl, Monica, and Brid- gett, Tonia, Yvonne; godmother, Betty; aunts, Ruth, Annie, Jessie, Alberta, Maxine, Mary, Gloria, Wanda (Victor), Carrie (Charles), Gloria (Terrance), and Caddie;
uncles, Charles, Jr. (Linda), Willie Frank, Randy, Carl, Mar- vin, James, Ronald, and Melvin; special friends, Thomas, Knights, Blatchs, Nisha kids mother, Poseys, Nealys, Pascoes, An- drews, Kellys, Heidi Williams- Riley, Johnson families, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing will be from 5-7 p. m. at Gudes Funeral Home, 4050 E. Hillsborough Ave., on October 27th.
Family and friends are asked to meet at 3221 E. Cayuga Street at 9:15 a. m. for the line-up.

MR. THOMAS L. PHILLIPS
Mr. Thomas L. Phillips of Riverview, Florida, passed away on October 18, 2017.
Mr. Phillips was born April 30, 1955 in Welch, WV, and grew up in Columbus, OH. He was educated in the public school system of Ohio. Mr. Phillips had a constant thirst for knowledge and had obtained several degrees and certificates from various insti- tutions. He has resided in the Tampa Bay area for over 30 years. Thomas served his coun- try in the United States Army.
He was an entrepreneur with many business endeavors throughout the years.
Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by: his parents, Arlow Phillips and Jimmie and Alice (Phillips) Berryman.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Melanie Phillips; his sons, Thomas (Jonelle) Pad- gett, Hondo Phillips and Temu- jin Phillips; his daughters, Nicole (Christopher) Trailer and Cinnamon Phillips; his brothers, Arlow Phillips, Jr., Ronald (Tina) Phillips, James (Elizabeth) Berryman; and his sister, Kim Berryman.
Also his devoted lifelong friend, Maceo Brown and a host of other loving family, friends and colleagues. He will be greatly missed by all.
Mr. Phillips did not wish to have a traditional service. If you would like to honor his memory in some way, please consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society in his name.
MR. ANTHONY TAINO NAIBOA
Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Anthony Taino Naiboa, who passed away October 19, 2017, will be held Saturday evening from 5 to 8 p. m. at Seminole United Methodist Church, 6111 N. Central Ave., with the Pastor of Seminole United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will take place Tuesday at 12 noon at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Anthony Taino Naiboa was born May 23, 1997 and died Octo- ber 19, 2017. He was a sweet boy and family caring.
Anthony will be greatly missed forever by: Casimar Nai- boa (father); Maria Y. Rodriguez (mother) Carmen Rodriguez; and will be missed by his siblings that loved him and watched over him and he watched over them too: Karen (sister), Taino (brother), Guarionex (brother) and Nubia (sister) Naiboa; he will also be missed by other fam- ily members and friends.
We will never forget you. You will always be in our hearts. We love Anthony.

A Grambling State University student and an- other young man were shot and killed on the campus of the HBCU early Wednesday.
According to ABC
News, the suspect fled the
scene following the shoot-
ing and has not been ap-
prehended. The Lincoln EARL Parish, La., Sheriff’s De- ANDREWS partment said that it does
not believe that the shooter was
a student at the university.
Authorities believe that an altercation in a dorm room on campus escalated into the shoot- ing, which occurred in a court- yard outside. The two young men killed in the incident were

identified as GSU senior Earl Andrews and Monquiarious Caldwell, who was not a stu- dent at the school. Both men were 23 years old and originated from Farmerville, La. Both young men were pronounced dead at the scene.
