‘Black Panther’ Grosses $100M During Second Week Of Release; Best In History
‘Black Panther’ Cast Travel Globally To Promote Movie, And Having Fun Doing It
       Disney and Marvel Studios’ Black Panther continues to set records at the U. S. box office where it is headed for a 2-week- end outing of $100 million-plus; one of the top second-weekend grosses in history.
That’s after scoring the best first week for any title in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with $292 million through Thursday, besting The Avengers (2012) in its first week.
Black Panther earned $28.9 million on Friday from 4,020 theaters to jump the $300 mil- lion mark domestically. Esti- mates for this weekend range from $100 million-$105 million. By Sunday, Black Panther’s do- mestic cume will be nearly $400 million and well north of $600 million globally.
Directed by Ryan Coogler, the superhero blockbuster is an- nihilating the competition.
The ‘Black Panther’ cast has been traveling the globe promot- ing their blockbuster movie and having a fun time doing it.
The stars—and director–of the Black Panther superhero film, Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong’o, Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan stopped by Seoul in South Korea. While there being interviewed, they performed a group song and it looked like a blast.They sang “All My Life” by K-Ci and Jojo. The host led the performance and the director, Ryan Coogler kept the energy high and the per- formance made a fantastic im- pression on their fans as you can see from some of the social media posts that have followed.

Kendrick Lamar Wants Acting Role In ‘Black Panther’ The Sequel
Black Woman To Host MTV
It looks like Kendrick Lamar is ready to showcase his acting skills. After curating the Black Panther soundtrack alongside TDE CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, Lamar hopes he can extend his collabo- ration with Marvel outside of the studio.
The “HUMBLE.” rapper ex- plained to BBC Radio 1’s Clara Amfo on Thursday (Feb. 22) that he wants to land a cameo in the suspected sequel.
The 11-time Grammy winner even hinted at his interest in playing a villain that’s “loved and misunderstood,” almost similar to Erik Killmonger played by Michael B. Jordan, Uproxx reports.
Lamar also described the ex- perience of making the sound- track as a “privilege” and that the film’s message “is something that not only stands within this moment, but stands within time.”
 Movie And TV Awards Show
Tiffany Haddish an- nounced that she will be hosting the MTV Movie and TV Awards on June 18.
The Girls Trip star will be the first Black woman to ever host the awards show in its 25-year history.
She is also the first female host since Amy Schumer served as emcee in 2015.
MTV released a press release confirming the information, say- ing Haddish is “quickly estab- lishing herself as one of the most sought-after actresses and comedic talents in television and film.”

Chloe x Halle To Release First
‘Grown-ish’ Stars, Sisters
 Album On Beyonce’s Label
Dynamic sister duo, Chloe x Halle, plan to release their debut album The Kids Are Al- right on March 23rd and pre- order started Friday (Feb. 23). Impressively enough, Chloe Bailey, 19, and Halle Bailey, 17, have written and ex- ecutively produced the album.
Their rendition of Beyonce’s “Pretty Hurts” even caught the attention of the icon. This led to them being the opening act for the songstress in 2016 during the European lag of her wildly successful “The Formation World Tour.”
